Nuneaton Dog Training Club

Nuneaton Dog Training Club Nuneaton dog training club provides training and activities for dogs of all ages and abilities.

Nuneaton Dog Training Club is run by a dedicated group of volunteers who between them have collectively accumulated a lot of experience training all kinds of dogs and has been helping the local community for over 60 years. From problem dogs to Pedigree pooches, NDTC has someone who can advise you how to get the very best out of your dog. The Club aims specifically not to train the dogs, but to ins

truct handlers in the training of their own dogs to levels of behaviour and obedience required. Fundamentals of Patience, Kindness, Firmness and Persistence are carried through all training classes to help ensure both dog and owner achieve desired results with a consistent approach throughout. With regularly scheduled classes to suit all levels of ability, from young puppy to mature dog, NDTC can offer you and your dog every opportunity to attain the standards you so desire.

We spent the weekend hosting World Renowned trainer Craig Ogilvie for our instructor training! 🐢

Each year we offer our volunteer instructor’s a training weekend, funded by the club to build their training knowledge. This helps our club members to receive the best possible advice and keep our knowledge current.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and as a team have lots to think about and implement into our classes across the club. Thank you to Craig, for travelling from Spain to be with us this weekend!

*Planned Club Closure*
Just a reminder that there will be no mainstream training on Sunday 12th January, and the club will be closed.
The current workshop dates reflect this gap week.
Our instructors will be on a 2 day training seminar with an internationally renowned dog trainer.
This means we can utilise new skills and share with our members.

I would like to thank all of our members who have taken their Good Citizen Tests this year or who are currently working towards them. Also all the Instructors and Assessors for the work they have done to get you all to the required standard. We now have a number of instructors who are now Assessors, so we have more instructors to help our members understand what the Good Citizen tests are all about. I would also like to thank all the members who took their dogs to the Kennel Club facility at Stoneleigh to act as stooges. I encourage everyone who can do to take part. It's an enjoyable day, you get to learn about the tests, and it's stress free for both you and your dog as you are not the ones taking the test!

So it only remains for Ann and I to wish you all a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year and we look forward to taking you on test next year.
