What better way to get outside on a wet and rainy Sunday than with your dog (or someone else's 😉)!
Good for the mind, body, and soul, and you have a very happy dog at the end of it!
My weeks gundog training with Matilda finishes today, I'm so proud of her, she has been a star, and made me smile so many times. I really hope we get to continue this adventure, and can't wait to hear feedback from the field! 🦆

Gundog training this morning with 3.5 month old Matilda.
We have covered recall with the whistle, sit with hand signal only, loose lead walk, retrieving a dummy, desensitisation to dummy launcher sound, and have just started to learn to stop ✋️.
So pleased with her progress, she is so quick to learn, and really enjoys it (as do I!).

I had a few new customers in yesterday, these two beautiful girlie's, and an old very reactive rescue boy called Finley.
Finleys mum had tried 7 different groomers, unsuccessfully, and had resorted to having to take him to be sedated at the vets for grooming.
Fortunately, I managed to groom him.
It will certainly take a good few sessions before he relaxes, but a successful mission 🥳

Barney has been to me 3 times now.
It's been quite a journey - when his mum first rang, she said that he always had to be anaesthetised by the vets for a groom, no previous groomer had been successful due to his reactions.
Obviously being anaesthetised isn't good for the body, and his parents were really concerned.
I am so happy to say that he is really coming along well. His fear of being groomed was due to previous medical procedures, and he just needed patience, reassurance, and a bit of understanding.
It's cases like this make make my job worthwhile, happy dog, happy parents, happy vets, happy me! 😊 🥳
