I'm super happy to be able to be in a supportive group with the Holistic Grooming Acadamy. A client was moving away and I was really glad to find them a groomer Woody's Holistic Grooming who has been, and continues to be an inspiration to me.

It meant I could pass on all his grooming notes and his parents were reassured to know he was in safe hands.

So sad as I miss him so much but also so happy to see how amazing he is!

🌿 I love the holistic approach to grooming 🌿

This gorgeous boy has been coming to me for grooming for a while. He's always been so good, and I thought he was pretty confident.
Since doing my holistic grooming diploma, I've noticed he wasnt quite as confident with grooming as I thought. I have been able to make small changes using positive reinforcement, for the parts he finds more sensitive, and allowing him choice and consent to come and go as he pleases.
I've been able to recognise, help and support him where he needs it.
One of the biggest things I've learnt so far is tolerance and co-operation. Most dogs tolerate a lot of the grooming process, but aren't actually consenting to what is being done. I found the more choice that is given, the more that dogs like him feel safe to express the parts they do find difficult.

Even though I have a lot more to learn, the changes I've made so far are so rewarding to see. 🐕
