I was just thinking how the sun has got to be in the top 5 for all cats??? Even for those indoor ones, soon as that sun hits your bed you can guarantee your cat will be laying in direct line of the sun 😎☀️

I thought I best pop on and say hello! I am still here! January is always my quietest month of the year so I’ve been keeping busy with my other work and had the bright idea to start deep cleaning and decorating - I mean they have to be the worst jobs ever right?

Over the last week or so I’ve had lots of booking coming in taking us right up to October 🤗 as always I expect to be busier than the previous year. Easter holidays & the summer holidays being the busiest (these times really need to be booked as far in advance as possible).

Quite an exciting year for me with this business - I hit the 10 year anniversary mark. That’s 10 years of looking after your beloved furry beauties!! The best job ever!!!

The downside of running this business over so many years is having to say goodbye 😢 I get attached to every cat I look after, I’m besotted by them. I fall in love with each and every one and quickly learn of their little quirks and fabulous characters.

Like this gorgeous boy Hector… Now I did spend a lot of time with Hector over the last few years. He never was a lap cat with me but was happy to have me around. All cats are different you quickly learn what one wants/needs. I think it may have been around autumn/winter time last year I decided on my arrival I would try scooping him up for a little cuddle on the way to his food bowl and he let me 🥹 ‘ah, I think he loves me’ I thought! As I said, I saw Hector multiple times over the course of years, I saw him just before Xmas like usual. New year comes and I get what I thought was the usual message booking me in, but it’s not, I’m told he’d suddenly been really unwell and that he’s crossed rainbow bridge 🌈 I cried! I was heartbroken 😪 (typing this now and I’m actually getting upset again). There is nothing worse than getting a message like this.

I just hope owners know that when you hire a sitter like me, whether it be for cats or dogs, that we do genuinely bond with your pets. They become one of my own 🐈‍⬛ 🩷

Bookings for 2024 are coming in thick and fast! I best pull my finger out and order a diary! (Yes I am very old school, I do not trust using my phone) 😅 As always, if you are going away during the school holidays you need to book way in advance!

I still have space for the remainder of this year 🐈‍⬛ As you would expect Nov-Jan tends to be the quieter months of the year 😊
