This is a post from the heart. I don’t think I’ve ever written one like it. Arya started with seizures on the 4th November. It was a confusing time for her and a difficult time for us both.

We are both very much on a journey now, what works, what doesn’t. Each day at a time.

I’d like to thank Hird & Partners Vets for their support and kindness in our time of need and for supporting my ideas and suggestions during our journey.

At this time the cause is not known. But we have a plan, she will be seen by a neurologist and bloods have been done.

Thank you to Dr Lily Scott of Petlearn for your behaviour support and thanks also to you, my clients, for your patience and compassion while I take time to process and navigate Arya’s appointments.

I can’t not mention Georgia Selby of Trails for Tails Dog Training for being a constant support to us both.

I will keep you posted but just wanted to let you know that if I miss an email. Reschedule an appointment or am not on point during your session you now know why.

Thanks in advance for your patience. Arya and Paula canine vets

Bertie the Bearded collie has been out and about learning cafe skills. I accompanied him and his handler and we all enjoyed a lovely time out at the Millstack cafe….

Skills we taught Bertie were

- meet and greet without jumping
- don’t steal our food
- settle on cue

It was an absolute delight. We didn’t upset anyone and Bertie got lots of positive comments.

We will be out and about more with Bertie next year so keep an eye on where he ends up!

If you want help with your dog treat yourself to some sessions. It’s easy to book pop over to the website.

Hey hey! This post is for service providers to comment, I know you all love your providers but I’d like to get to know them personally.

My clients are always asking for me to recommend canine services.

I’m compiling a list of services of people I know locally so I can send them your way!
If you offer any of the following detailed below, cover the Worth Valley, Bingley, Keighley and Denholme and fit with the ethos of our business I’d love to be able to recommend you. I only recommend people who I know.

If you want to be included comment below and I will drop you a message to find out more about what you do.

Let’s get to know each other! (Feel free to share this)

Teddy’s handlers had great feedback when attending their third 1:1 session yesterday.

They came because walking on lead was not fun, they’d been struggling and wanted help.

They were happy to report that they now enjoy walking him on lead. This is a massive turnaround! I’m so pleased the training is helping.

If you find walks tough why not treat yourself and your dog to some training, I’m always happy to help!

Just look at this guy! Beautiful Kylo had his 2nd one to one with me today.

He’s a stunning chap, he needs help with socialisation and settling in public and his handlers are smashing it!

After their first session they’ve bounced into the training centre full of smiles looking much more relaxed and already report a successful trip to watch a small football game.

I can’t wait to see how this progresses!

If you want to do some work with your dog, whether it’s for fun or to help with something you’re struggling with, it’s easy to book, just visit the website
