We are finalists for Kennel of the Year AND Cattery of the Year at The Local Pet Awards 2025!!🥰

We’re so excited to be part of an amazing evening again!

We’ve been awarded Kennel of the Year for the last two years and we couldn’t be happier, still very much feels like a dream! We’re so over the moon to be back again to meet so many amazing people in the pet industry!

A little update too, our boarding prices will be going up as of the 1st of November 2024:

Cat £14.40+ VAT (£18) per night
Dog £20.00+ VAT (£24) per night

Fiona’s Ark 1st Anniversary!💜

What a year it has been, and we’re truly thankful for all the support.

Whether that was donations in feed, supplies, money, or our lovely volunteers, who help take care of the animals, making sure they have the best time while with us! And to the Oban Vets staff, who have supported us and helped us give our animals the medical care they need!

Or just supporting us online, sharing our posts far and wide to help them find a new, loving home!🤍

Since opening the 7th of June 2023, we have rehomed a grand total of 71 animals!

30 dogs, 38 cats and 3 rabbits!

All from our wee centre out in the sticks! 💚

Here’s to many more years of helping animals in need of a new start and forever family’s!

We have been using OSCAR for the last 30 years with out fail, giving your dogs the best meals while staying with us.

It’s been a brilliant all round food for everybody and kept our gundogs going fantastically!

We use the Adult complete beef and chicken which includes:

🐾Added Glucosamine to help support healthy joint tissues and L-Carnitine to aid performance, maintain muscle mass and support a healthy heart

🦴With Vitamin D, Calcium, Magnesium and Phosphorus needed for strong, healthy bones

🐾With balanced Vitamins and Minerals to support optimal health

About Lochandubh kennels

Set in secluded woodland 15 miles north of Oban, we have 24 purpose built heated kennels and 8 cats chalets with heated beds, which the cats adore. See our "Boarding" page for full details.

We are situated in a peaceful location "an oasis in the middle of the forestry" The business is family run by animal lovers and we have over 40 years of animal care and kennel management.. The kennels and cattery have double glazed fronts which look out over the gardens and countryside, so there is always something for our guests to look at, including peacocks, pigeons and horses. The woodland provides the perfect enhanced environment for the dogs to enjoy in their morning and afternoon walks, regardless of the weather.
