That’s our tree back with us after a lovely weekend over at St Conans for the Christmas tree festival! Now we’re getting in the festive spirit here at the centre!🎄✨

🐾💙Helping Hounds💙🐾

Did you know that since we started The Highland Dog Deli we have been saving up money to donate to rescue centres🤍
Everytime we are told to keep the change from cash payments, all of this money goes straight into our helping hounds jar🐾 We also ran the ‘guess how many sausage’ competition to try and raise some money. We will be doing another competition before Christmas so that we are able to donate this money to a wonderful rescue centre Fiona's Ark, which is located in Oban.
We will also be taking a big bag of our tasty treats for the animals that they have in their centre🐾

With Ashleigh’s dogs back home, in Lincolnshire, being rescues we would like to help as many rescue centres as possible🥰 It is something that is close to our hearts🩷💙🤍
Next year we will be doing a lot more to try and raise funds to help more rescue centres! Did you know that there is an estimate of 100,000 dogs and 250,000 cats without homes the UK 💔 And there is an estimate of around 13.5 million dogs and 12.5 millions cats in the UK this year!🐾
If you are considering adding another family member to your pack, we would encourage you to look into rescuing a dog, cat or any other animals that may be looking for a loving home🤍
You may be looking for a young pup, an older doggo, a purfect cat, a smaller companion, a pure breed, a mixture of breeds or a big beautiful dog with sloppy chops. Rescue centres is where to look🥰🐾

The average length for dogs in shelters is 93 days and for cats it is 67 days but in some cases they can be in there for a lot longer💔 Every day I wish we had the biggest garden for these amazing animals that are mostly given up because their owners can unfortunately no longer afford them or they are given up through no fault of their own🐾 With the cost of living rising it can be difficult at times but nothing can beat the unconditional love that these animals are willing to give to you🥰🐾
The amazing people that run and work at these centres are incredible!❤️ It is heart breaking what some of the animals go through and these incredible humans will do everything they possible can to help these animals and find them loving homes and make sure they are cared for and loved while they are in the centre🐾

🎄Calling all adopters!🎄

We hope you and your pet/pets are doing wonderfully!

We are attending the Christmas Tree Festival again!
We had such an amazing time last year creating picture baubles of all the animals that have come through our doors and gone on to loving homes, for our Fiona’s Ark Tree. Accompanied by a little folder of many happy stories of dogs, cats and small animals with how their new life is going!

We’d love to be able to update this with as many as possible, though leaving it a tad late with being as busy as we are!

Please can you spare a few moments to direct message us some pictures of your adopted pet with a little bit about how they’re getting on?

We’re needing everything sent in by no later than this Wednesday evening (27th).

**Tiny has found a home!💕**

We’re unsure her age, but she is young.

Tiny is a gorgeous and friendly girl! But she gets stressed around other cats and dogs.
We’re looking to find her a home by herself with a person she can love.
She’s extremely over weight and is on a strict diet here with us, which will need to be carried on in her new home.
Tiny struggles with steps and jumping onto ledges with the weight she’s carrying so she will need to be in a ground floor flat or house.

**Anna and her sister Fran have found a home! 💕**

9 years old
Chihuahua
Females
Neither are spayed due to health.

Anna (pictured by herself with one blind eye) is a lovely, reserved soul. She unfortunately has a heart murmur which does not affect her every day life but it’s the reason for not spaying.
She’s very sweet and enjoys a cuddle.
She can go on little walks here and there but she much prefers the lazy life.

We are looking to get a home for Anna as she can go by herself, but it would be lovely to have Fran be with her too.

Fran (pictured on right of second photo) is very gentle with people and loves to be cuddled as much as possible.
She took unwell with Meningitis a couple of months ago when they were just new to us here. She has been on medication since and now has a weakness in her back legs.
She is still in very high spirits and loves life but is not fit for much exercise etc.

As we said, we’d love for them to stay together in a home but understand that the medical issues Fran brings could be difficult. They love each other but in typical chihuahua behaviour, have various tiffs through out the day due to jealousy, food etc.

They have been with us for some time now as we’ve been holding out due to ill health of Fran, but need Anna to get the chance she deserves in a lovely home.

These girls would need to be in a home with no other animals or dogs.
And also no children.

Unfortunately Rab has not met the grade for working sheep and is looking for a new home.
He’s a lovely boy and is good with kids.
Will need an active home.
He’s been kennelled so won’t be house trained but with a little bit of training he won’t take long to learn.

This girl loves to be out side in the wild hunting more than anything else, she not very sociable but likes to hang out near by.

She can’t live with children or dogs and hasn’t lived with other cats.

We’re looking to find a country home for her to carry on living her best life, as unfortunately her owners have had to move to a city flat with circumstances out with they’re control.

He has lived with a cat before when he was younger, but not within the last few years.

Cap is a energetic guy who needs a lot of exercise in an active home. He’s very sweet in nature and friendly, he will make someone a lovely friend.
He has just started training on sheep and is keen, but no commands yet.
He rides the quad bike well.
He doesn’t get on with other dogs.

“A very affectionate and friendly girl, likes nothing more than cuddles! Has always lived with cats and children. Not had much close interaction with other dogs due to our rural location, when she does meet them she is submissive and friendly. Good on lead but can be a little stubborn with recall offlead and likes to go long. Docile manner within the home, just likes to sleep in front of the fire.”

💜🤍💚OUR 100th ADOPTION!💚🤍💜

Since opening on the 6th of June 2023, we have now helped find homes for 100 local animals in Argyll & Bute and surrounding areas.

We’re so grateful to be able to help every single one to find loving families, and to help support people needing to find homes for their animals.

Nim has been with us for some time now, as she’s a crabbit old lady, with a lot of character!
But we stuck by her and have found the perfect home for her to go live the rest of years with the best owner possible!

Soon she’ll be off to live her best life and have all the cattitude she desires💜
