We grow food without using chemicals, but a weekly dose of organic seaweed extract (diluted in water) helps feed the tomatoes and cucumbers as they produce lots of tasty fruit!

🌳🍏 Starting to see some of your fruit trees dropping a few of their fruits? Don’t panic! It might seem concerning and even a waste, but this is entirely natural and part of the tree looking after what it can sustain and grow on to be good, mature fruit. In a good blossom and pollination year, there may simply be too many developing fruitlets for the tree to support all of them to develop into mature fruit. So around this time of year, trees will often lose a proportion of the smaller fruits. There isn’t anything you can do to prevent this other than good orchard management and promoting strong tree health.
Planting up tomatoes today - thank you to all our volunteers!

Wildbrook 2023
As the end of 2023 approaches, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped, visited and been involved in getting the Wildbrook Community Food & Growing Project started this year. Revitalising a site like this is a huge undertaking and it would not have been possible without the support and help from the local Fitton Hill and wider Oldham community. Wishing you all a very happy Christmas and New Year! #fittonhill #communityfoodgrowing
