So, itโs 10.30am and already Iโve had 3 dogs not showing up for appointments. Just to be clear, you are expected to cancel with notice if you arenโt able to make it. Please do so, most of us have free calls from our mobiles so it costs you nothing apart from 30 seconds of your time. Please donโt book as a new customer if you have no intention of coming.
As a result, no-shows will now be charged the cost of the appointment and until this is paid we will not be rebooking you in. Iโm really sorry but as a small business I cannot afford to not have slots filled-I couldโve filled these 3 appointments yesterday if I knew they werenโt going to turn up.
And to add a bit of context, Iโve lost the income from 3 grooms today AND travelled from West Yorkshire to be here at 8.15am to open the salon for 3 no-shows. Iโve been up since 5.45am mucking out the horses to be here for 3 no-show appointments. I also have to pay staff wages. I understand โthings can happenโ, home emergencies take priority of course but please people, let me (and other small businesses) know if you canโt make their appointments.
Thankfully though, the majority of my clients are fabulous and Iโm super grateful for them๐ค
