Is it a mercat ? Or a stunk ? Or maybe a big lion ? No it’s gorgeous little fella Sid 💙 he’s been trying to tell me he’s boss on his pup session’s but on his last visit he was such a good boy for everything, we have been working on deep brushing around his neck area which he hasn’t liked but is accepting of it now, he is so incredibly gorgeous wouldn’t you agree ? 💙🐶🐾

2 gorgeous puppy’s only a few months apart but what a huge difference & why it’s so very important to introduce puppies at the earliest journey in their lives……meet little waffle 💙 just 17 weeks & the best age to introduce them to their groomer, the grooming environment & all the different tools (often loud or scary) let alone the training to stand on a grooming table, monthly really is key just short visits. Mum had a little trim around his face & eyes to get him out of trouble & was worried she wouldn’t be able to manage his coat if it got much longer, on his 1st visit we only really like to show them a gentle bath but we also wouldn’t want waffle to become matted & his coat was very fluffy, just light clippers and some scissors to help reduce some length waffle did amazing & we can wait to bond with him as he grows 💙
Meet our 2nd puppy Maggie ❤️ hers owners were told not to have her puppy coat cut 🤷‍♀️ but had now got into trouble with heavily matted areas, at 6 months old it was a lot to be in a strange new place with new people with tools in their hands ready to get her out of trouble (tight matts pull on the dogs skin, stop the blood flow & don’t allow the skin to breathe) if we had bathed Maggie the matts would get tighter to the skin so the kindest thing for Maggie was a shave down and not to force around tidying her head as this was a stressful enough, her next visit will be a gentle bath & lots of affection to show it’s not a bad place & back to settling her in gently , we don’t like doing shave offs but Maggie will be feeling so much better & that’s what really matters ❤️🐶🐾

So why have we been so quiet on our social media……..we have been welcoming a few new dogs onto our books, we are working & focusing hard on building bonds & settling them in nicely, they all have different grooming needs for their lifestyles they lead but have all been so good settling in ❤️🐶🐾

Happy 4th Birthday to gorgeous Benji 💙 this little Poochon has been with us since he was 20 weeks old & what a lovely bond both Benji & Sonia have for each other, he’s cute, bright eyed & has just a lovely personality, his favourite treat is a fishy spray & he also like to play sleeping lions (will lay down half way through his groom just for a 5 min nap & jump back up when he’s ready to carry on !) he just bags loads of love for everyone specially his pawrents & family

So after a customer’s cry for help after rescuing & baring in mind Daisy 💗hadn’t been to a groomers & is now 6 months …..we knew we had our work cut out, her little ears felt like bricks (completely matted to the skin) owner had tried to perform clipping her legs but had a accident as also matted, we have now talked about what is needed eg brushes and combs & how to keep her Matt free & also how to brush ! This really is key if you want a big fluffy coat. customer has never had a curly coat but is now understanding of this & the care needed to keep her comfortable. For everything that Daisy went through today she really has amazed us, very loving, affectionate & no fear 🐶🐾

Last of our gorgeous bunch that have been to visit in February for their valentine grooms, also a booked visit to have 9 pairs of scissors & 13 clipper blades all sharpened & 2 new clipper hinges replaced without the hassle of sending away, big win for us as all scissors needed daily, 🙌❤️🐶🐾
