Please note that part of the Dublin Road is closed this week, from the A5 down to the Ballynahatty Road (turn-off for Paddling Pups) - marked in red on the map. Alternative routes are marked in green and blue - please allow a little extra time for your journey! Anyone coming from Omagh Town centre can still go up the Dublin Road as far as my turn-off 👍🏻

Best stay out of the waters anywhere in Lough Erne I would think!

❗Blue green algae advice

We have received confirmation of the presence of blue green algae in Lower Lough Erne in the vicinity of Castle Archdale.

❗In abundance it can produce toxins which pose a health risk to humans and animals, therefore, it is recommended that you avoid contact with the affected water and shoreline and ensure pets and animals are also kept away.

Vets in the Fermanagh area have had a number of dogs seriously ill after swimming in Lough Melvin over the past 48 hours.



The cause of this may be toxic blue green algae, combined with high body temperatures due to the weather, and then entering the water leading to shock.



Please do not bring your dogs swimming in stagnant lake waters! We will update you if we get any further information.

(3 legged dogs, dogs on wheels, deaf dogs, blind dogs.)
If they have a nose they can do it!!!!!

This is Molly & Max they are brother and sister and they cannot be separated, they are 14 years old. Molly and Max are the sweetest duo ever! They are the friendliest, lovable, amazingly sweet temperaments. They are old babies that won’t be any trouble, they will happily chill out and go for a daily small walks. They are easy going and love a good cuddles and they can show you lots of tricks for treats 🙈 they are good with children, other dogs and cats💜

Day 2 of the Canine First Aid with Canine First Aid Workshops - UK - Rachel Bean RVN complete. Today there were 3 NARCH registered canine hydrotherapists taking part, thus keeping our memberships valid. We also had many other pet professionals taking part, from dog walkers, pet sitters, rescues and physiotherapists as well as some dedicated dog owners who simply wanted to learn what to do in an emergency! Thanks to Rachel for making it so enjoyable, and also to Corry & O’Hare Vets for allowing us the use of their practice - it was an ideal space! Of course we cannot forget to thank our dog models over the weekend - Daisy, Copper, Riko, Venus, and practice dogs Hughie, Cara, and not to forget wee Jack for his supervisory role! How amazing does Misty look? She was referred for hydrotherapy to help with weightloss and arthritis in her wee hips 😞 She was set a very strict diet and exercise plan, and after 10 weeks, she has lost an amazing 5KG!!!! I am so proud of her and also her family, who have all pulled together to ensure Misty is around for many more years. She still has a way to go to achieve her ideal weight, but already she is more energetic and happy.

This absolutely gorgeous wee gentleman is 19yo Jack 🥰 He's is attending for laser treatment to help with weakness in his wee legs and he just lies back and enjoys it!

We have added the laser therapy to our services to complement our hydrotherapy. We can offer standalone laser sessions, or in addition to a hydrotherapy treatment. If you think laser might help your pet, please send us a dm, or speak to your vet.

In the blink of an eye the eyesight starts to go, the hearing begins to deteriorate and it takes twice as long to get up in the morning…. And that’s only us.

When age starts to catch up there are a lot of things we can do to improve on life quality. During February our nurses are running free senior wellness checks for all cats and dogs over the age of 10. It’ll give you an opportunity to discuss any concerns you have and see what we can do to help your golden oldies in their senior years.

We’d love to see some before and after pics if you have them. This is Hughie 13 years on!

I've been on my holidays with Auntie Mitch and it's been great seeing all my friends again. I've missed them, but I'm very happy in my new home, where I have my new mummy all to myself! I was visiting Auntie Claire at Paddling Pups and she was telling me about the raffle for the big TV. Boy, it sure is one big TV! It's even bigger than me!!!!

Anyway, Auntie Claire really needs to sell more tickets to be able to pay off the vet bill from my leg surgery. The amazing vets at have done a fantastic job and I really want to thank them for looking after me so well. But I can't pay them in slobber, which is all I have to offer really!! It beats me why I can't cos it takes a lot of hard work to produce slobber of that quality! 🤷‍♀️

The animal rescue, who found me in the back yard where I used to live, are struggling to raise money, so this would really help those guys out.
