Sadly, we have had a deceased cat brought in to our Ramsey practice, found on Waterloo Road. She is a female ginger tabby who unfortunately does not have a microchip.

🎅 Santa Special this weekend, and next! 🎅

If you buy a Santa ticket we're waiving the child entrance fee! The ticket includes a child meal, gift and meet Santa in the café all for just £12. Normal admission applies to adults.

Tickets are sold up to 1.30pm on 14th and 15th of December and 21st and 22nd.
Santa will be in the café between 12-2pm. Child members are £11
Tickets are sold at the gate on the day.

(Warning - if you're a regular to the café your child may recognise that Santa also runs the café😉). Santa tickets are for children up to the age of 12.

🌟 Team Spotlight: Caroline Groen 🌟

Meet Caroline, one of our fantastic Practice Support Staff members who is currently training as an Animal Nursing Assistant! Caroline joined the team 3 years ago and has been a dedicated animal lover her entire life—her passion for animals even inspired her school projects, which were always based on her favorite subject.

Caroline has a heart of gold, having raised and adopted stray kittens that have come through the clinic. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her pets and family and channels her creativity into artistic projects like resin art, diamond art, drawing, and painting.

We’re so lucky to have Caroline as part of our team, with her love for animals and dedication to care. Show her some love in the comments below! 💙🐾

🌟 Team Spotlight: Dr. Jakub Witkowski MRCVS 🌟

Meet Jakub, one of our amazingly talented veterinary surgeons! Jakub graduated in 2020 from Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences and has since dedicated his career to exotic animal and wildlife medicine.

Alongside Anna, Jakub is involved in an ongoing research project in Africa, focusing on the anaesthesia of crocodilians—a unique and important contribution to veterinary science. Here on the Isle of Man, Jakub and Anna provide veterinary care for the animals at the Curraghs Wildlife Park, as well as caring for exotic pets in our practice.

Outside of work, Jakub is a man of many talents and interests. He loves traveling, delving into history, and working on craft projects. His creativity and enthusiasm extend to the workplace, where his sense of humor is cherished by colleagues and brings positivity to the team.

🌟 Team Spotlight: Dr. Anna Modlinska MRCVS 🌟

Meet Anna one of our passionate and adventurous veterinary surgeons! Anna graduated from Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences in 2020, during which she had the incredible opportunity to learn from one of the world’s leading specialists in exotic medicine through a student exchange program.

Her journey in veterinary medicine has taken her across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa, where she’s gained hands-on experience with a wide variety of species. Anna has a particular passion for wild and exotic animals, including invertebrates, fish, reptiles, and all types of mammals, making her a vital asset to our team.

Anna conducts scientific research in South Africa, manages the Curraghs Wildlife Park , and actively collaborates with local organizations such as Manx Wild Bird Aid and the Manx Bat Group . Her dedication to wildlife care and conservation is truly inspiring.

When she’s not caring for animals, Anna enjoys traveling, photography, and scuba diving, often combining these passions to explore the natural world from every angle. 🌍🐾📷

Say hello to Sabrina, one of our incredibly skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurses! Sabrina joined the team in 2016 and has had an incredible journey with us, starting as an Animal Nursing Assistant and earning her RVN qualification in 2020.

Sabrina’s love for animals runs deep – she couldn’t imagine life without a cat by her side. 🐾 She’s particularly passionate about rabbit husbandry and feline behavior, ensuring these special patients get the best possible care and advice.

🌟 Team Spotlight: DrJoshua Wanklyn BVSc BDc(Hons) MRCVS 🌟

Meet Josh, one of our fantastic veterinary surgeons! Originally from Bristol, Josh joined the practice in 2022 after graduating from Liverpool University. Since then, he’s become a friendly and familiar face in our practice – especially at our Ramsey branch, where he and his beloved golden retriever, Monty, feel right at home. 🐾

Josh has a special soft spot for golden retrievers and has made it his mission to meet every golden registered with us! As a small animal vet, he’s passionate about general practice, from routine check-ups to keeping pets happy and healthy.

Outside of work, Josh loves playing hockey and exploring the beautiful Isle of Man. His favorite spots include the Chasms and The Point of Ayre – stunning places that Monty enjoys too (now that he’s much bigger than the pup in the photo!).

Steph is a clear example of the vast and valuable remit of the veterinary nurse title, showcasing the critical role vet nurses play in patient care. With a passion for surgery, Steph excels in theatre, orthopaedic X-rays, and anaesthesia. Introducing Colleen Miller, our Head Nurse who has been a part of the team for an outstanding 20 years! Colleen trained with us and now holds a certificate in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care. She is especially skilled in dentistry, sharing her knowledge to provide the very best for our patients.

Outside of work, Colleen’s dedication doesn’t stop – she’s a committed equestrian with impressive national achievements, and she has conquered the Parish Walk multiple times. Truly a machine, Colleen’s energy and drive is an inspiration to many!
