I've been coaching for 20+ years and I love what I do. I am a freelance instructor, not attached to any particular yard, so I come to you. I work Monday-Friday, generally leaving the weekends free for competing, clinics or other events. From time to time I can cater for weekend lessons but this is on an exceptional basis. During the week I'm available all day, even up to 9pm or sometimes beyond, s

o I'll do my very best to fit you in and suit your schedule. I have freelance instructor insurance provided by KBIS and I am a UKCC Level 2 accredited coach. I am police checked and undertake refresher courses for the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults. I am first aid trained and attend periodic refresher courses, so you can be confident that I am suitably qualified to provide coaching to you or your child. More at https://hgequestrian.com/about

Coaching
I cater for all ages and abilities, and travel island-wide to provide lessons. Whilst most clients prefer a 1-1 session, I will happily work with pairs and offer joint lessons. Lessons normally last for 45 minutes (60 minute for joint), allowing you time to warm-up, cool-down and for us to have a little debrief. We'll look at what to work on for next time and how to work through any particular issues. What to expect on your first lesson
If this is your first lesson with me, there will be a few things I'll want to know before we get started and a few things I'll be looking at initially before we get into session:

1. Horse type, age, length of time owned
2. Goals and targets
5. Amount of work per week
6. Pre-exisiting injuries or return from a period off

Daytime and evening hour slots available 😀 Full course will be up.

All abilities welcome happy to adapt to poles or exercises if preferred.

Saturday 5th July XCountry at Andreas Airfield, 1 hour slots available 10 am-4 pm 👍

Back on home turf after a very hot 5 days at The All England Jumping Course, Hickstead . What a lovely show, amazing atmosphere, and brilliant to watch the Derby live on Sunday in the members area with my top groom and biggest supporters Andrew Dudgeon Babs Goodby lots of sunshine, top food and great shopping was a perfect way to celebrate mums birthday 🥳

Zip coped amazingly well in near 30° heat, tried his heart out, and behaved perfectly in busy arenas. No placings this time, but can't ask more from my special boy, jumping technical testing courses🥰flying round the derby course, traveling, stabling like a pro, what a amazing boy he is 🥰

Sorting my diary tomorrow, so I will be in touch with clinic dates and daily lessons. Look forward to catching up soon. Hannah xx

4 days of showjumping in the sunshine done at a very hot Weston Lawns Equestrian some really good rounds👌 some with poles down but always the kindest most well behaved boy💐 🥰🤷‍♀️, next stop The All England Jumping Course, Hickstead 🤞🙌

Happy 8th Birthday Zip 🎂 you are such a special boy and the last 5 years have been a ride for sure! 🤣 the only horse I know that lays down in the middle off a massage with Jo Howie Equine Therapy what a boy!

I'm excited to announce my next clinic at Manx Chasers Equestrian 🥳This time, it's going to be a Derby-style course, which is a bit different. A combination of show jumps and cross-country fences, including banks, ditches, and the water complex 👌

Saturday, 3rd May and Monday, 5th May (bank holiday) great practice for the actual Derby competition on the 10th 💪

1-hour private: £60 including course hire
1-hour with 2 sharing: £40 per person including course hire

My next showjumping clinic date is Wednesday, 16th April, at Ballavartyn Equestrian Centre.

Still based at Llamedos Equestrian on Thursdays; a few spaces are available.

Evening Everyone

Lovely to see the sunshine finally 🌞 and even managed a few hacks on my woolly chesnut 😘

A really busy last few weeks coaching, riding and training pony club members for their upcoming tests; it has been a pleasure helping them through the winter 😊

I'm also pleased to announce my next Ballavartyn Equestrian Centre clinic dates - Wednesday 5th and Wednesday 26th March - some daytime and evening sessions are available, just contact the page or myself to book.

I'm still based at Llamedos Equestrian each week on a Thursday, from lunchtimes, and have some rolling bi-weekly slots available 😊

Hey Everyone

Hope we all survived the storm 😬

We were very lucky to be able to run the Isle of Man Pony Club rally yesterday for the little ones, who were all an absolute pleasure 😘 But disappointing that we had to cancel today's Senior Rally with more rubbish weather to contend with! 🌪❄️

It looks like we're in for another dodgy week of weather 😭 but pleased to announce my next clinic dates (hooray for indoor arenas) 🙏 let's hope there are no more named storms on the horizon.

Dates:
Wednesday 5th February at Ballavartyn Equestrian Centre 10am-5pm

Saturday 8th February at Llamedos Equestrian Llamedos (limited space as I'm attending the Pony Club Ball and will need ALOT of time to get in a frock!)

Monday 17th February at Ballavartyn 10am-5pm

I'll also continue to be based at Llamedos each Thursday from lunchtime 👌
