🐜 New Arrivals at Farmer Ted’s! 🐜

We’re excited to welcome a new colony of leafcutter ants all the way from Trinidad & Tobago! 🌿👑 With a queen and up to 5,000 worker ants, Farmer Neil has been working hard to ensure they settle into their new home, keeping their environment as close to their natural habitat as possible.

Every day, our team forages for fresh leaves to keep them happy and thriving. Did you know these tiny powerhouses can carry up to 50 times their body weight? That’s like a human carrying a car! 🚗💪

Come see them in action at our Mini Beast & Reptile Centre, where their display wraps around the space, showcasing the incredible journey they’d take in the wild. 🏕️🐜

Farmer Teds Farm Park is recruiting Front of House Staff for the 2025 season.

Roles are varied and will include working across all customer-facing areas, including our restaurant, food and drink outlets, front desk and retail.

Experience in hospitality or a customer-facing role is preferred, but training can be provided.

Candidates must be confident, friendly, and able to provide excellent customer service to all visitors.

This is a casual position; however, candidates are expected to be available at least 2 days a week, including 1 weekend day. Shift times vary but are usually between the hours of 9am and 5.30pm.

We are also hiring staff to join our Outdoor Team. Roles include assisting our animal teams, leading daytime activities and hosting animal shows and presentations, as well as general site cleanliness and upkeep.

Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be confident speaking to groups of visitors and children.

Experience or an interest in Animal Care is preferred but training will be provided. Flexibility and weekend availability are essential for this role.

All Roles are in line with NMW

Farmer Teds Farm Park is not on any public transport routes so you must be able to drive to get to and from the site.
