🩷Golden oldies🩷
Lily & Gizmo’s lives have been turned up side down. Very sadly they were found in a home next to their elderly owner who had passed away. There was no next of kin so they were at risk of being put to sleep. They are safe with us now and we are determined to find these two a retirement home where they will be spoilt for their rest of their lives. 🩷

Recently we had a particularly difficult visitor, not a problem!!! :) Meet little Alfie, Kizzies and Richards son. What a lovely surprise visit!!
Many of you will know our nurse Kizzie, she has been with us for many years now. She will be back after her maternity leave, ready to help you all again during her nurse consults.
19/12/2023
Some of you will have met our receptionist Sevi. We have had to say Goodbye to her as she has gone to pastures new. We wish her all the best with her new job and being a Grandma :) X

If you would like to remember a pet past or present - pop by and add a Christmas Heart to our tree and help a local charity at the same time. Maybe pick up a raffle ticket aswell? What better way to honour your pet than to give a christmas dinner to another X

Here we have Kit modeling for our Charity Christmas Raffle.
We have some fantastic prizes this year, some great hampers, a few bottles and some £50 off your next visit to us vouchers. (Kit is not available)!

!!! Now reunited - thanks for everyone’s shares. !!!
Please SHARE SHARE SHARE. This is Maisie. Her elderly owner was on the way to the vets after getting off the bus. Her cat box broke. She does not live in this area.
She escaped around 9.45am this morning in Rushet Road in front of number 7. This is Ravenscourt Road end. Maisie is not well at the moment so we need to find her as soon as possible.
She is quite nervous so will likely lie low. She has a yellow collar and is microchipped.
If you have any sightings of her please call her owner immediately on 07576 658004.
Reward offered.
Let’s get her home as soon as we can.

Did you know 4.1 million dogs are reported to be afraid of fireworks? Is your dog one of them? The ADAPTIL Calm Home Diffuser is an excellent solution to help your dog stay calm during stressful situations like fireworks 🎆 We recommend plugging the diffuser in where your dog spends most of their time at least a week before you expect fireworks to start to give it time to diffuse thoroughly around the home.

Top Tip 🎆 Having their loves ones close will help your dog feel more secure during this scary time. Try to stay at home if you can and keep your pup company. And remember our pets can sense our energy so staying relaxed will help them feel relaxed too.

Top Tip 🎆
Creating a cosy den for your dog will help them feel safe during fireworks
- Use their crate, or a table and chairs, covered in blankets in a calm area of the house
- Fill the den with their bed, blankets or cushions
- Encourage them to spend time in the den with some super tasty treats, like ADAPTIL Chew
- Include their favourite toys, chews or a puzzle feeder to keep them occupied
- Make sure they have easy access to drinking water
- Don't disturb them, explain to children that this is the dogs safe space.
- Plug in an ADAPTIL Calm Home Diffuser nearby

Is your pet worried about fireworks? 🐶
Fireworks season is a time of celebration for us, but for our furry friends, it can be downright terrifying.
Why Are Dogs Scared of Fireworks?
🐕 Dogs have heightened senses, and the sudden, loud noises of fireworks can be overwhelming.
🐕 They don't understand the source of the noise, which can make them feel threatened.
🐕 The anxiety can lead to destructive behaviors, running away, or even health issues.

Why do people overlook the gorgeous black kittens? We are helping a lady who is looking for five star homes for these gorgeous kittens. They were abandoned underweight and covered in fleas.
She has nurtured them back to health and is looking for a home for them as a single and a pair ideally.
Very human bonded, purr constantly and they love a fuss.
They are all boys and are now castrated, have had all their vaccines and are chipped.
Please pm us or email the clinic on [email protected] if you can offer them the love they deserve or you would like more information. All homes will require a home check. Thank you 😊

Easter hazards.
Please enjoy Easter and the fact that Spring is here. Just a reminder to keep our easter goodies away from our pets.
A novel manicure technique.
Here is one of our clients dogs that hated having his claws trimmed. He became so anxious and stressed. We suggested seeing April who helps our clients with any problems they may have. Look at him now. He shortens his own nails, whilst having fun training time too. If you would like to see or speak to April please call the clinic and we can give you her number. We love this video.
An alternative to castration in dogs.
Here at St Pauls Vets we dont automatically advise castration in dogs, as you will know if you have been a client for a while. There is a new alternative to castration which we have been stocking for a while now. There is a small injected implant that is reversable. Please consider the options and the age you have your dog neutered. We are happy to supply you with any help on this subject and if you would like to know more about the implant pop in to the clinic for a leaflet.
