Greenslate Farm A therapeutic, educational and wellbeing hub run by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers in the heart of the Billinge and Orrell community.

After a successful bid to Wigan MBC Greenslate Farm is now a Community Farm. We provide many services, such as a Care Farm for people with learning difficulties, educational visits for schools and colleges, mental wellbeing activities in nature, local regenerative food growing, and a hub to support other charities and community organisations. As a not for profit, self funded charity, we rely heav

ily on the generous fundraisers, service users and volunteers who make it all possible. The success of the scheme will rely on getting as many local people involved as possible. You will be able to take part in many different ways allowing you to fit in at whatever level of commitment suits your current lifestyle. Volunteering opportunities include working on the farm, maintenance, fundraising and assisting with community run workshops, skill swaps and community fun days. This may or may not mean something to you. Either way you are welcome to pull a chair up by the fire to rest and reflect on whatever arises, through a series of mindful self compassion practices.

The cafe will be following normal Christmas hours over the Christmas period except for Wednesday 25th, Thursday 26th and Wednesday 1st, where the cafe will be closed.

The normal cafe hours are Wednesday to Sunday, 10 till 4. 🎄🎁

It signifies a time of new opportunities and endless possibilities. Join Marie & Imelda at Greenslate Farm to harness the power of the midsummer sun to replenish and find your focus. Spend the day immersed in nature, connecting with your body through gentle yoga stretches, connecting with your mind through guided mindfulness practices and connecting with your heart through fierce self-compassion. Allow your creativity to flow by creating a personalised dream catcher that celebrates your strength, hopes & dreams. There will be plenty of opportunity to 'simply be' amidst the lovingly planned activities. Take time out to relax in a hammock, sit under a tree or take a nap beneath the tree canopy.
