Well it’s been a while since I have posted so .....
Over the last year I have had the privilege of training some wonderful dogs! In most cases it involves the humans ( owners 👍) having to re adjust there relationship with there best friends ( I do mean the dogs!!🐕) so the owners can be there best friend but also so them how to lead and interact with them when problems arrive. Most dogs want to feel that they have the trust and the leadership of “there” best friends too so when there’s a problem the owner can react in the correct way and avoid that problem. We all have responsibilities to our dogs so be calm be responsible and respectful and you will get the best from you dog(s)!!!

BIG PHIL -THE DOG TRAINER
Hi all its a while since I have posted so here goes!😋
I have over the years been asked to train a variety of dogs from the tiny tea cup yorkie to the Great Dane!! I have often wondered why one should be train different from the other?? I of course under stand the difference in size but most dogs have the same needs for friendship leadership and direction! I have often found that it is the owners that have a different perspective on the size of the dog therefore treat the dog in a different manner?? The behavioural relationship is the most important at the start of your dogs life whether it is a new pup or a rescue dog being re homed.
If you establish the relationship from the first few months you will in time have a great companion and a devoted friend!! I can say that different breeds have certain peculiar habits and that needs to be taken into account. But the underlying training in behaviour and obedience is normally the same. So I would say that most people that seek out help do so out of love and affection for there dog but remember the dog is a pack animal by right ( with a few exceptions) and therefore look for leadership and that sometimes is a hard to do for a loving owner👍

DOGS AT CHRISTMAS. JUST A THOUGHT!!!
This time of year our thoughts turn to Christmas and giving! Remember if you are thinking of suppressing your love one or a child with a puppy or dog please remember that the pet will be with you all its life and will need looking after. Feeding,walking, trips to the vets worming anti fleeing training and insurance. It's a part of the family group and should be given the time and affection. So just think before you share your life with mans best friend can you give your new dog the time and affection it needs and deserves....if the answer is yes then enjoy your new best friend!!

Hi all well it's been a busy period for me the last month and I have been involved with dome great dogs/puppies . The common thread with all I have trained has been behavioural problems within the house. These can be hard to notice by the owner until it's too late. This is because "WE" as humans get attached to our dogs so therefore allow them to do some things that we wouldn't if they where older. But we all tend to ( me included!!) let them get away with actions that they really should be corrected on. Some examples are barking excessively ,growling , nipping , jumping up on to you or furniture etc. with a little understanding and the right method a lot of these problems can be over come. The video below is of a rough collie how had issues with just about everything chasing lorries bikes barking at people growling etc after training which he took to well and the owners this was the result.
