Weekends are for…. Training!
Pretty much anything can be an added distraction when training your dog, but the more interested your dog is in the distraction the more challenging it will be.
We know our gundog breeds are usually pretty interested in other animals, so you can use opportunities like this one to progress your dog’s training 🙌🏼
This is the first time I’ve properly asked Zena to heel off lead in the woods (she’s done plenty in less exciting environments) and she was a star - so pleased with her 🥰 Not pictured is Juno bezzing about too so that was a good distraction!! At 5 months old we’re just keeping it super short and sweet but I’m slowly asking for more from her to keep progressing 🫶🏼
Now this is what I call a transformation!
Luna was so over excited by the world that she would lunge, jump, pull and bark when on the lead.
As I take a holistic approach in my training, we identified all of the areas of Luna’s life where she struggles with self control and addressed each of them.
The “2 minutes later” video shows a much calmer dog taking more direction from her owner. This was recorded in our initial 1:1 consultation quite literally two minutes after the first video.
But the “2 weeks later” video!! I mean just wow 🤩 A happy, relaxed dog walking at heel on a slack lead and engaging with her owner, all whilst in close proximity to other people and dogs at group class! I think her wagging tail says it all.
Massive well done to Oliver and Sophie for their super hard work to get this result 👏🏼
A peaceful morning walk 😌
There’s nothing relaxing about being dragged along by your dog, so reach out if you need help achieving this!
Zena fitting in nicely with Juno and Inca 💛
Before this session Hector pulled so hard he was almost crawling along the floor & was choking himself in the process - not very nice being on either end of the lead of that!
Well what a transformation 👏🏼
Brilliant work by his new owner who’s only had him for 5 weeks! Such a lovely boy who was a pleasure to work with 🤩
Fantastic heel work on the Adolescent Life Skills Course this evening 😻
We did a Puppy 1:1 with Daisy about 4 weeks ago and look at this amazing off-lead recall she can do now!
She is just 4 months old and doing fantastic recalling from another dog and around so many distractions 🤩
Well done Daisy, keep up the good work!
So proud of this group doing amazing heel work on our Adolescent Life Skills Course 🤩
