I haven’t directly posted to this page in a while - I’ve been based in 🇺🇸 for the winter & it’s been such fun! For those that aren’t on Instagram (I regularly post on my stories over there)

(Ness wise - she has had an impromptu break and is being thoroughly spoilt by mum and dad at home! 🐎 Snoops is also living his best life 🐾 )

Had the whole weekend off and didn’t see a horse which was weird but a nice treat. Reunited with Ness today - today has felt like we were back in mid August 🥵 🌞 but I think the end of the week is going to slap us back into reality of British autumn 🍂 🌧️ 🌬️ …. Just in time for the hunter trial 🤣 fingers crossed for a good week of preparation 🐎🌟

Headed on a long hack today & then entered a hunter trial - looking forward to a trip out next weekend at Larkhill with & 🐴🐴

Lots of exciting things happening this winter, now she’s had a break - unplanned but all the best things happen when you don’t plan….(?!) I will be focusing on my riding & confidence over the winter because I still can’t compete and breathe at the same time breathe 🧘‍♂️ (It’s just circles and sticks right?!!!)

Sad sale.

Nessy has been having a quiet time over the last few weeks whilst we moved yards & then I also I took a few days off to go home to Devon.

We’ve been training and getting some glorious hacks in on the plains! 😍🌞✨🐎💪🏼

She’s changed again in shape, size & fitness so I’m learning to manage her. 🤍 all being well we will venture to a competition at the end of the month 🤞🏼

Spent the last few days at Little Downham Horse Trials. Took 3 horses and they performed very well at their respective levels.

Ted was a star today and finished in 3rd place in the BE100, finishing on his dressage score of 27.3.

My precious making my day & getting 71% in our dressage test today to come 2nd. 🥈 🌟

West Wilts ran a % dressage competition which allowed you to PYO test. A super helpful outing which gave me lots of pointers for Mendip on Monday 🐎🤞🏼❤️

Got out to an event yesterday at and the rain stayed away 🐴🐴
We took 2 horses, both having a go at their respective level for the first time.
Ted came 2nd in the BE100 - FOD 26.5 🌟
Toto, in the novice pulled out a 23 dressage & two fabulous jumping rounds. Lowering 1 pole sj and adding a few time pens xc.
Feeling so lucky to work these horses and surrounded by the most supportive team 🌟🥹

Future Gravitie, rising 13 year old mare by Grafenstolz. Twin sister (by embryo transfer) to Life Graded SHBGB and Life Approved AES stallion Future Gravitas, and a maternal sister to Olympic silver medallist and 3 times winner of the Rolex Winsome adante CCI5*, and Future Genie CCI3*

I was lucky enough to take Ness with us to do some combined training today ! I did 28.8 dressage & a clear SJ to come 2nd 🥈 🌟🥰🐴🍀

The next chapter starts now - Ness, Snoopy & I have moved to Wiltshire to join team 🐴🤞🏼

Ness has been lucky enough to have stayed at ESP Equine recently. She had 4 sessions on the treadmill whilst she was there. This was her initial introduction to the water treadmill and coped really well having never done anything like this before.
I have noticed the difference already, shes more uphill & is finding it easier finding her own balance. She’s grown to 18hh, god help me (🫣🤭!)

I am so excited to carry on using the facility to increase her fitness and strengthen her overall. Emma & the team are excellent.

Sunshine, smiles & sausage dogs 🥹

Driving through pouring rain at 6am this morning had me questioning my career choice but when it ends in happy smiley faces & a warm sunny day, it made being towed out of the event a-bit more light hearted 🌞☔️🐴🐶 🚜

++ snoops made a friend & also had a super first day at moreton. Hopefully the sun stays shining for his 8.20 dressage tomorrow morning 😅🫣

Lovey day at chard for the first little event of the season & the sun came out 👌🏼🌞
Combined training with 3 for Rupert & 1 for Immy. Good work from the horses and jockeys - exciting start to the year 🐴✨

A day at home tomorrow to catch up with all the odd jobs & then the first trip for XC schooling on Thursday with 6 🤞🏼

⏩ Ness is currently still walking & she’s on week 2. She’s very keen to get going - we have a rescope booked next week and then we will get a better timeline for recovery

‼️ 2 weeks to go & then we can start walking again 😅 so damn excited x

She’s been very good on stable rest over the pass few weeks - the hand grazing is slightly more tedious than 3 weeks ago, but needs must. 🥲♥️

For what is supposed to be a quiet month, January is proving to be anything but! More on that soon. For now, the count down is on ⏰🚶‍♀️🐴🤞🏼
