These little spiky balls of joy can bring so much love and satisfaction to your life, as well as helping a species in decline.
Watching them make their little homes ready for the winter is such a pleasure. Have you ever seen them speeding around corners with a mouth full of leaves!? 🥰
Just a few words of advice to remember, if you choose to feed them, please offer them a varied diet. Wet food is great for nutriment and dried food can help fight off plaque resulting in lovely healthy little nashers! (watch out slugs!)
Also go lightly on the mealworms as overfeeding them on this can result in brittle bone disease, which is becoming quite a problem in local wildlife hospitals.
