Today was the last day before Christmas it's been a really busy term, with all the children achieving lots more with their riding.

Rememberance Sunday is always just as important for all the animals that served along side all the brave soldiers too.

Easy now, old friend, lay still, lay calm,
The battle's roar fades, the air turns warm.
Your breath is shallow, your eyes grow dim,

You carried me through fire and fear,
Through fields of mud, through skies unclear.

Today, we were very lucky with the weather at open day. It was nice to see lots of regular riders as well as potentially some new ones.
Tommy traveled all the way from Blewbury Riding Centre and he was definitely the star of the show.

We have had the most fun and busy pony morning with a equine weigh bridge and . The children learnt about different feeds that old Scooby was happy to sample! Everyone had a go at guessing all the ponies weights. We even compared the weight of four of the children who together all weighed less than Lily

It has been a very busy few weeks with lots of lessons and the last day of riding before the summer holidays at Chandlings. I did manage to have a bit of time to take my horse Warrior out to a fun, clear round.

It has been a very busy few weeks with bringing Custard Cream back into work after being turned away over winter. Also, finally, getting around finishing the arena. One of my little riders yesterday achieved her first rossete and certificate. Yesterday evening, I did a jumping exercise with everyone Blewbury Riding Centre to help improve turns and straightness into fences. All horses and riders did a really good job.

We have a few spaces availiable for our pre school club starting this Thursday morning . Special first time rosettes and certificates for each new skill achieved . There are five in total for extra keen children who would like to come each week . Sessions are for 45 mins and £25 ea.. Please get in touch to book as very limited

We have had two busy pony mornings this week. Today was definitely the better weather. Tuesday the children learnt about rugs and even Custard came in to be part of the team for a rug change . Today the children really enjoyed learning the arena markers and were all soon reciting the All King Edwards Horses rhyme

Today, accompanied a less experienced rider out on a hack to help to give her tips and advice on how to deal with different situations, especially those horse eating hedge trolls 😂

Today was the last day of riding for the children they have all worked super hard this term to achieve their ABRS rosette awards.

Its nice to be back after the long Christmas break. The children were really excited to be back riding again and they all tried really hard despite the cold.
