Practicing focus on me early on around other dogs. I’m using his breakfast and just asking small stuff from him while the other dogs are in a down. Eventually I’ll ask more of him by having the dogs move around. Also I’m asking him to join in with the down position towards the end, just for a few seconds by placing the food on the grass. What I did with my 8 week old puppy today 🐾

I’m only using neutral, well mannered, trusted dogs that I know well to ensure Hex has only positive experiences when socialising him and building confidence around others. He does not need to interact with every dog he see’s 😃

Hex, 8 weeks old and out on his first adventure. Making the most of the very small window to get him as much structured exposure as possible. Obviously I’m careful with where I’ll be doing this, but essentially he’ll be with me wherever I can take him in my arms and on the floor where the risk is less. I want to cram in as much environmental exposure as possible over the coming weeks. Teaching him that other dogs & people are just background noise 🐾
