At Muddy Mutts we do everything we can to make your beloved dogs grooming a pleasant experience. We offer a personal grooming service carried out with a caring and loving attitude. Your dog will be given a 1st class service including nail trimming, ear cleaning, bathing in an appropriate shampoo for your dogs coat followed by gentle drying and styled to your requirements. We are also happy to wash

your dog in a prescription shampoo if you have been requested to do so by your vet. All pets are welcomed on arrival and owners are given a full consultation to discuss each animal’s particular needs and grooming requirements to ensure the styles will suit them. We have a COMPLETELY FLEXIBLE appointment system to fit around your schedule but find most owners like to drop their dog off first thing in the morning, often on their way to work or as part of the school run and then pick them up in the afternoon, this allows them to get on with their day to day activities. On arrival your dog will be allocated one of our four secure bed areas (we only groom 4 dogs a day) where they have a chance to relax during breaks between washing, drying and clipping/finishing, we like to give breaks rather than having everything done at once as it means that the grooming process is very calm and relaxed and becomes more of a ‘Doggy Spa Day’, plus for owners that may have other people walk or check their dog in the day time if they are out they know that on ‘grooming days’ their dogs care is covered at no extra charge. As your dogs care is paramount to us we use NATURAL ORGANIC mild ph balanced, bio-degradable shampoos that do NOT contain soap or detergent and are made from the highest quality ingredients. PRICES: As each dog and owner have different requirements, we really need to speak to you first in order to give you accurate price. Bigger dogs will naturally differ to smaller dogs, but also a dog’s breed and even your own preferences will have an effect on the overall cost of dog grooming. Hello Peeps - December Christmas bonkers has begun and the diary is full to bursting, so I'd like to highlight the necessity to arrive on time for your appointment as I dont have time to over run.

Also I ask that if there is any chance that you cant make your date please let me know at least 72hr before or I will need to charge you for the full cost of lost income.

As a sole trader and this being my only income I am not in a position to have last moment cancellations which I'm unable to fill (thank you for your understanding)

🐶We are looking for some special people who are able to provide a permanent home to our dogs that weren't suited to our specific training programmes due to specific medical or behavioural needs. You would need to be able to ensure the dog receives the required care needed and would have full support of our dog training team.

🐾The welfare and comfort of our dogs is an absolute priority. Occasionally, a dog can be more suited to being a lovely pet rather than a working dog, and so we want to find them the best possible forever home to go to!

Please do not buy. Throw them away if your dog gets one as a gift. Giving rawhide to a dog is never a good idea.

Many of these so called treats end up with the dog "enjoying" some time in a veterinary surgery over Christmas. The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China.

The chews are made from cattle or horse hides and their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulfide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and remove the rancid smell.

Now comes the pretty festive colors and the glue to form cute shapes. On testing, these chews have shown traces of arsenic, mercury, chromium and formaldehyde.

If that wasn't bad enough, they regularly cause intestinal blockages, poisoning from chemical residue and choking. The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog.

This cracking little Cairn puppy Ruby visited this week for her first Hand-strip .. at only 6 months old.. it’s hard to see from the photos the transformation but as you can see we now have the true adult coat coming through. On dogs that have been neutered we often have to clip but clipping a Cairn Terrier normally leaves the dog looking 'too groomed' and destroys texture of the coat. Handstripping is the correct grooming method for this breed. It maintains the color and texture of the coat.

This wonderful 5year old girl Pippa came in for her first handstrip this week … Pippas mummy has always groomed her beautifully, however pippa had pups a year ago and after was neutered - this has changed her coat texture, she isn’t shedding as she used to and had become fluffy … hand stripping removes the whole guard hairs rather than clipping through them.. this ensures the coat stays smooth, flat and natural. Pippa was such a good girl and seemed very pleased with her new style 💖 before and after photos below

Anyone interested in rehoming my friends mums cat as she sadly died two weeks ago and non of the rehoming centres are helping! Meow-cow is a petite, black short hair, approximately 13/14 years old, possibly spayed by her original owner as she's never had kittens and in good health. She's very shy but independent, likes to be outside.

Please let me know asap please as the housing association want to take the house back and there is know where for her to go currently x

Millie had her first emmipet session on Thursday - great results so far and coming back for session number 2 - before and after a of both sides below

How lush it is to have this beautiful 9 month old baby back for his proper grown up styling .. being a mixture of Bichon, poodle and cavalier means he has a beautiful texture to his coat to style along with an amazing good nature .. lots of work for mum n dad to keep knot free but with regular 6 weekly visits we will keep him looking beautiful ❤️
