Well Bertie Boy has come on leaps and bounds! 💙 His feral ways have completely disappeared & he actually voluntarily comes out for fuss! 😻 His furr is looking thin and patchy in areas which will be due to over grooming with the fear & stress of transitioning from his previous feral life to present, but we are very hopeful now he’s very settled, well fed & getting more and more content as the days go by, that his furr will come back thick and fast soon 🐈‍⬛🐾 📸- Morning headscratches with Lisa 😸🐾 Hector's House Residents

Well little Bertie is finding his voice! 😻 We have also noticed this morning some fresh paw prints outside the cat flap door 🐾 These, along with an empty litter tray for the last two nights, let us know that he is now brave enough to venture out and about AND come back home! So it looks like Bertie Boy is here to stay 😸🐈‍⬛ Sadly still no sign of Bobby 😿🐾 Hector's House Residents

We’ve received the best news! 😻😻😻😻 “*** OMG *** CHICKPEA is Home *** After 10 days and nights she was spotted by the wonderful Neil in our village just less than a mile from our house… He recognised her from the poster. This has been a disheartening, heartbreaking and rollercoaster time - I have to admit that I lost my conviction and belief that we would find her alive many times…. but it was the amazing community around us and beyond via FB that has kept us hopeful and reminded us continually to not give up… The messages of support really did keep us going! You put up with me calling early in the mornings and late at night. I flooded the streets and your letter boxes with posters. Your shares, support and encouragement were all so appreciated! I now know what it is like to spontaneously cry tears of joy - Thank you to each and everyone of you! She is unharmed, slimmer, lost her collar, won’t stop meowing (there’s a lot of adventures to tell me about) and wanting to eat for England (though I’m pacing her)…” ‼️Please do scroll back a little to our post of beautiful Eric who sadly, is still missing. His little white patch on chest and slit on one ear makes him easier to distinguish. Thank you 💙‼️

The little chirping chicks! 🐣❣️ They still haven’t come outside as of yet, the two hens in the video both think that they are the mum so these lucky babies have two mother hens to care for them 😻 🐾

We sometimes get asked why we don’t allow humans inside our cattery and this video partly shows just one of the reasons 😸 Owners often walk along the outside looking to greet our guests then ask if we are empty as no one or very few cats can be seen outside. It can take us a large amount of time, love & patience to gain the trust of our furry guests, especially the naturally nervous and first time stays. Many guests will stay in their inside rooms when customers are coming and going as they don’t like new faces and people they don’t know can be scary but this video is very standard of what we see when we are closed to humans and it’s only us around 😻 So the inside is their safe space and they can choose to venture out to say hello to humans if they so wish, resulting in happy, relaxed babies, settled in each and every room knowing they are safe ❣️
