*****PUPPY CLASS*****
New classes will begin soon. Date to be confirmed.
Puppy class is an essential part of your new family members life. Here you can learn all about genetics, breed traits, Behaviour and Training.
These classes are for people who would like to understand their new puppy not just have it do tricks. (Although we do cover some fun stuff!)
Alongside their basic obedience skills such as Stay, Leave, Settle, Loose lead, Focus, Touch YOU will learn how better to understand their needs, read their body language and really speak dog!
Includes a end of block session at the Run Free outdoor field where they and you will see some good dog etiquette in play (I hope!) From my very own ex street dog.
To register your interest please email
[email protected] for further information.
**** DOG WALK/MEET UP ******
A walk to honour our beloved Zara :)
When? - Sunday 29/05
Where? - Boden Boo Woods/Beach
Time ?- 12pm
EVERYONE welcome. a good opportunity to meet like minded, crazy dog people.
All welcome, to have fun, gain some social skills, meet new friends and relax.
If you are worried about coming along then drop me a message and let me know your concerns and we will see what we can do to ensure you can relax and enjoy.
I will be happy to chat about behaviour and training but please remember i can not resolve serious behaviour issues without a FULL assessment and that's not something i can do on the day.
A day to walk, chat and let the dogs have some fun on/off lead if confident.
Puddles are the best fun!!
Later mornings were for group catch up!! Thank you to all of my fabulous clients for coming along. What a wet and muddy day!!! Dogs had a ball. Looking forward to the next meet.
Can I just say how wonderful of the dogs done. Etiquette was great and no issues what so ever!! Well done everyone:)
Zara like to eat wayyyy to fast.. sometimes a little scatter feeding will slow her down and give them a bit of something different!
Simple things.. the biscuit Hoover's .
Her eyesights not too bad for an old girl! Loves her "matoes". :))
Extremely proud of this boy and his mamma today!
Hosta was our gorgeous Border Collie from a few weeks ago who liked to chase cars! He was obsessed!!
First session, we worked on building a good connection with his owner. Helping him learn new behaviours away from the cars. Session two we went outside and worked on his engagement with his owner away from the cars and slowly got closer.
Today he was so engaged with his owner that the cars didn't even exist!!
He still has a long way to go but I already cannot wait until our next session!
#loveawubba #bordercollie
Fireworks are going crazy already outside.
Eva was a bit apprehensive at first.
Keeping everything as normal as possible. No pandering. No fuss. Just calm behaviours all round. She knows I'm near and that's enough.
Everything settled now even though they are still banging on outside..😑😒😣
Side note.... Just realised how fat Eva is.....
Camera adds 10kg.. diet starts tomorrow
Today I was telling puppy class about Eva. She can open drawers using her dew claws......
Sharp as a tack that one.
Turns out ... She has figured out the safety latches as well! Again... Here is her result. The cats raging she ate his food.
Watch the video.. I've not said a word to her.
On the subject of body language...
Watch.. the avoidance, eye contact averted, ears back, yawn... She picks up on my annoyance. Not her guilt.
See Zara... Not giving a toss!! Clearly why reinforcement is necessary for life. There was a time she would have been the same. Retirement does her well!!
Yesterday I got mad at something. Nothing Eva had done.
Watch what happens when I turn towards her and she picks up on my body language.
I can not be more clear. Eva has done NOTHING wrong. I haven't shouted or swore. I just turned towards her. When I ask who done it..she gets worse. She doesn't speak English..it's my tone.
Dogs do not feel guilt. Just fear and confusion.
She knows I'm annoyed....but has no idea why. I've become unpredictable and she doesn't like it.
Watch her body language.
How she lowers her body, puts her ears back and avoids eye contact at the end.
She done NOTHING. Just picked up on my body language and emotional state.
You see how important it is ??
How easy it is for them to pick up on things?
See how Zara doesn't even care...?? Too domesticated for her own good lol.
Eva knows my every move. Every emotional state because we have a bond. She trusts me and when I'm unpredictable she gets confused.
