Had to refuse a couple of sales today unfortunately 😒 but we cannot and will not sell you any livestock unless proof of set up (if your using your own) is shown.
We've had this policy in place now for a number of years and it won't be changing. We're sorry to customers disappointed by this and we're certainly not ganing anything by refusing sales (we've all got bills to pay)😒 but the animals care comes first.
We'll advise you what our standards are, (some of which are thankfully now law) and we'll be happy to help and advise you.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch with any questions and apologies again to anyone who's been upset or disappointed by our policies.

Morning guys. Pauline here.
Shop is open 10-1pm today.
My chemo has stopped for the time being and I'm getting surgery January so a pre op assessment today and an appointment with my surgeon straight after at 3. If we're back early enough we'll open again but I'm unsure how long I'll be.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
I'll be posting Christmas opening hours later and thankfully no more hospital appointments until after Christmas 😊💚

I'm doing studies on Littlefoots basking behaviour to see if it changes once I change his uv to the new LimenIZE. I watch him from home through his cctv 👀 i found him rag dolling his ball around then stopping to watch a customer that probably got some bugs🤣

We had very special guests today at Dragon Aquatics. Our neice Frankie and her baby brother Theo, all the way from Australia 🇦🇺
Frankie is very much into reptiles and wasn't scared from anything! She had abbi out too.
We're happy the family are home and look forward to spending time with them at christmas. Matthew certainly deserves a few days off 💚

Pauline here. At home so I'm using the the time to further my studies.
I started research on bosc monitors a while ago and want to continue researching and eventually do a video to help other/new keepers.
I'd like to gather information from other keepers such as tank size
Substrate, lighting,lighting brand, diet, (what and how often)and whether or not you cycle feeding to rainy or dry season as they'd get in the wild etc.
I'd appreciate any information you could share, absolutely no judgment here and if there's anything I can learn from you guys as fellow keepers then I'm here for it.

As with any reptile, husbandry is constantly changing through scientific research and and it's important we keep up with that in order to share that information with you guys so we can all work together to improve the life of our beloved pets.

There's a lot of wrong information out there on boscs/savannah monitors and unfortunately the only person out there to do recent studies of these amazing creatures in the wild sadly passed away in 2020.

I'll also be trying out the new Arcadia Reptile luminIZE uv lighting in Littlefoots tank and studying his behaviour so I can give an honest review.
That being said I'm already impressed, it's great we can now increase the uv gradually replicating natural sunlight as it would be in the wild, not to mention being able to adjust it from an app on our phones!🌞
