Troglodillo sp ‘lamoa’ another one I’d given up on, started out with 8 of these guys and slowly whittled down to 2, in pleased to say that 2 were a pair and we now have lots of baby lamoas running around the tub!

Filipinodillo ‘Giant Banahoo’ with offspring, happy to find these have finally reproduced.

Amazing large species from the Philippines, that’s seem to like it very moist :)

ATTENTION!! COLD WEATHER DELAYS ❄️

Unfortunately due the extreme cold weather forecast for the next week i will be unable to ship any livestock or plants until the weather warms up. I understand this may be inconvenient and some people are still waiting for orders from the Xmas period but i must always put the welfare of the animals and plants 1st.

The website will remain open but I will not be restocking or starting the January sale until all current orders have been fulfilled.

I appreciate your paitinece at this time, trust me I would much rather get this sent out than hold on to it but I would much prefer live animals and happy customers :)

Happy new year one and all!

2024 was a big year for me with some big personal achievements.

✅ first full year of self employment
✅ took on a business premises
✅ took on the RHS Malvern spring show
✅ started a whats app community (link in bio)
✅ added 100 new species of plants and inverts to the collection

I’m going in to 2025 with just one goal

Finish converting the unit, move in and open the physical shop!

As we enter our 6th year of trading I just want to thank everyone that’s supported us over the years, be it with a purchase, a shoutout, review or even just liking one of our posts, every bit of support how ever small has been what’s kept me going.

From the bottom of my heart thank you all!

Merulanella sp ‘lava’ mother and offspring, F2 captive breeding. So chuffed to have a 2nd generation captive breeding from these! Defo been a labour of love!

Red Spined millipede (xenobolus carnifex) and a shed load of young, taken me a good few years to get these up to good numbers as the young grow so slow!

Finally the weather is a go! The website is back open with lots of new bits and pieces, Ive started getting ready for the backlog of orders going out from before this bout of cold to go out tomorrow and I’m taking orders for Tuesday dispatch right now! Off to a late start but let’s go 2024!

Welocme to Micro Exotics, we are a small family run business based in sunny Cornwall, UK. We aim to provide everything for the needs of amateur to advanced terrarium hobbyists . We breed our own livestock and aim to propagate most of our own plants within a few years.

we have many years experience in the exotics pet trade and hope to use our knowledge and experience to help grow the terrarium hobby within the UK.
