If you have registered for the Edinburgh Riding of the Marches 2024, you should have received an email with related event information. This was sent out last night (Sunday 28th July). Please check your spam. Junk folder.
IMPORTANT:
As you may be aware, there is a new L*Z within the city centre. Our finish point at Kings Stables Road is within this zone. To find out if your vehicle is compliant, please visit here https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/lowemissionzone
Could you please reply to this email with the registration numbers, make, model, and age of any vehicles which you are brining on Sunday 15th September which are non-compliant. We will use this information to seek event exemption. Please send us this information by Wednesday 31st July at the latest.

Do you have experience of working with horses at a busy riding yard/centre? Are horses a passion of yours and looking to further your skills, knowledge and abilities? Have great interpersonal skills and enjoy interacting with customers of varying nationalities? Able to multi-task, work as part of a team and inspire others?

Kailzie Equestrian Ltd are looking to recruit for a full-time position. Duties are varied and would include mucking out, grooming, exercising, leading rides etc. Hours and pay to be discussed with applicants.

It’s the start of the school summer holidays. Even the weather seems to have noticed 😢 Don’t let the weather stop you from having fun with ponies and horses though.

🐴 Where horse crazy kids come to have fun 🐴

All levels are welcome, from girls and boys who have never been on a horse to those that have. We believe that when developing the equestrians of tomorrow, safe horsemanship and care of the animal are just as important to teach as mounted skills.

We pride ourselves in providing a fun, safe and well-rounded experience where everyone can immerse themselves in the moment and enjoy themselves in a non-competitive environment.

Ride between lessons which focus on the fundamentals of horse and rider and fun lessons which encourage relaxed enjoyment of their equine friends. Fun lessons include rides, treks and playing games on horseback. No horse crazy kid’s day would be complete without rolling up their sleeves and getting a little dirty! Ample time for grooming, tacking, untacking and yard duties are included.

🐴 Half days and Full days are available.

Braw Lads’ Day - Scott Street Etiquette 🏁

RIDERS
Please take care and listen to marshals. Advice is to trot along the flat section of Scott Street, slow canter up Scott Street hill and back to a walk at Gala Park.
It's not a race, enjoy the atmosphere!

SPECTATORS
Please keep off the road until the mountain rescue vehicle goes up as this will signal the end of the procession!
