Welcome to Friends for Pets Penarth and the Vale of Glamorgan. Friends for Pets is an Award Winning Dog Walking and Pet Care Services tailored to your pet's needs from a trained and reliable team established in 2008. We offer a range of Pet Care services including Dog Walking and Pet Sitting from a team of dog walkers in Penarth and in home pet care as an alternative to kennels and catteries. We a

re full insured, DBS checked and can provide references. Our managers are Pet First Aid Trained and our Pet Carers undertake our Pet Sitter Award Scheme covering aspects of Animal Behaviour and Welfare, Nutrition, First Aid, Health and much much more! All training is written and taught by our founder who is a qualified Animal Scientist and experienced Animal and Veterinary Science lecturer or our in house qualified Pet First Aid Instructor. Our mission is provide your pet with the highest standard of pet care from a local team of highly trained and experienced pet sitters and dog walkers. We offer a free initial consultation as part of our service with your pet carer so that we can ensure that everyone is happy with the arrangements. Our dog walks are usually solo walks or at most in very small groups to ensure your dog gets plenty of attention whilst they are in our care. We tailor our services to your pet's needs rather that your pet fitting with our schedule. We do not arrive in marked vehicles to carry our a bookings, therefore not announcing that we are carrying a van full of dogs or that your home is empty. Occasionally our manager use car magnets but these are removed prior to arriving at a client's home or if we are carrying client's pets.

The cheddar team and office will be closed from Friday 20th December at 4pm and we will reopen Monday 6th January at 9am.

Any pre-booked services will of course be carried out by your pet carer. If you haven’t already booked in for over the Christmas period please do as we have very limited availability over this period.

Our out of office is now on from Friday 23rd August until Monday 2nd September.

All messages will be returned when I return to work after my week off on the 3rd September.

All pre-arranged pet care booked in with myself and Auntie Louisa will be carried out as planned over the weekend.

Auntie’s Charlotte & Louisa will be covering all pre-arranged walks and pet care for next week.

Auntie Rach and myself have a week off with our families to recharge after the most incredible summer. We look forward to seeing you all in September! Much Love, Steph x

💜 It’s so good to be back 💜 I’ve had the most incredible week off with my family. A big Thank you Auntie Charlotte and Auntie Louisa for covering all the walks and pet care last week. I’ve loved seeing up the updates from walks and visits. Knowing you had everything covered, allowed me to completely switch off, so grateful 🙏💜 All the dogs greeted me with super waggy tails and lots of kisses today. Just look at these happy faces!
