Downs-side Riding Centre has been a family run business for over ten years. With a fully lit indoor ménage we are able to teach lessons during the day and into the evening. We are fortunate to have a full set of plastic coloured jumps and also a variety of cross country style ones to suit everyone’s needs. We are located close to a lovely country park with lakes, perfect for h

acking around with the horses. You are welcome to view the yard and horses at any time, or just give us a call for more information; there will always be somebody happy to greet you!

Ok I know we live in Wales and so we expect a bit of rain but at this point we can’t remember what a dry day feels like! Yesterday morning started so hopefully but by lunch time it was raining again!!

The fields are basically under water and some of the horses appear to be growing gills! Fingers crossed things start to dry out soon.

But the truth of it is that this is the reality of keeping horses through a Welsh winter! Lucky they’re cute really😄

A very muddy Tiggy out in the field. Although she isn’t on the yard as she recovers from her injury, we check in on her regularly. She is healing up well and loving life in the new herd she is in. She is always pleased to see us though!

Even when her ears are@forward she looks grumpy! Earlier today we had to put Lilly in the stable next to her. They are mortal enemies and Cherry was extremely annoyed at the situation!
