I am pleased to announce I am taking on new clients again. After a period of poor health, I am back working 2-3 days per week going forward.

Hi everyone.

I hope you and your pups are well. I just want to extend my apology to those who have been trying to contact me lately. My health has taken quite a decline and I am dealing with medical issues at the moment. Because of this, I have mostly been off work.

Unfortunately due to the decline in health I am unable to take on new clients at this time as to ensure my regulars are able to get an appointment with me. I will update my Facebook if this changes in the future and I am able to take on new clients again.

For my regulars that have tried to reach out for an appointment, I will be getting back to you all tomorrow to schedule you all in.

I received the worst news any groomer could get. This is the part of the job that never gets easier as i love your dogs as if they were my own.
One of the members of the McQueen Grooming family crossed rainbow Bridge. Hamish was the loveliest dog who always had a waggy tail and was such a happy soul. To say I am devastated is an understatement. My thoughts go out to his family at this heartbreaking time. I will miss seeing this happy soul so much. 😞

Poor hamish stopped in this morning on his way to the vets for a quick eye trim. He has hurt his tail when he went out for his morning toilet break.

It’s that time of year when all the festive, brightly coloured, enticing, dyed dog chews are appearing in pets shops and supermarkets across the country trying to get you to add them to your basket.

So that means it’s also the time of year for us to remind you all that there is nothing at all raw about ‘rawhide’.

Rawhide is about as processed as it can get and not only are all the chemicals really, really bad for your dog, these lethal ‘treats’ are also a very real choking hazard. If you’ve ever fed your dogs a rawhide treat, you’ll have noticed how soft and slippery they get, they are impossible to remove from a choking dogs throat.

Please don’t be tempted to give your dogs rawhide this Christmas and if any well-meaning relatives or friends buy them for your furry friends as treats, just accept politely and pop it in the bin.

We love all of your dogs and its just not worth the risk

MD Pet Supplies Penicuik Tara says a big thank you for her puffed pigs ear she had this morning. As you can see, she was very pleased with it. Will definitely need to stop by again to get some more! ( ignore the pile of clothes on the floor. It's laundry day today 🙈)

🐾 PUPPY DESENSITISATION 🐾 Did you know its a common misconception that puppies should wait until they are at least 6 months old to visit the groomer? In reality, puppies should have their first experience with a groomer as soon as they have had all their vaccinations. It is vital your pup gets to experience the smells and noises of the groomers at a young age. This also allows us groomers to teach your pup how to behave on the grooming table, making it a pleasant experience for your pup. Look how relaxed this sweet boy is under the dryer. His owners booked him in for the puppy package, thus giving him time to experience the grooming process at his own pace with plenty of positive reinforcement. 🥰🐾

🐾❤️Isn't she the cutest!!! ❤️🐾 Cassie comes to me every 6 weeks and she is so calm and relaxed she often falls asleep during her groom. She especially loves the dryer after her bath as you can see 😂 This shows why it is so important to bring your pup's in often for grooming. It allows me to build a bond of trust with your pup's so they can be as relaxed as Cassie 🥰🐾
