I hope you have all had a lovely Hogmanay and have had a chance to play in the snow like Theo and I!
I'm looking forward to getting the gang back together on Monday, but I do want to share a few words about the upcoming snow forecast and continued freezing weather.
βοΈAs you'll all know, we have snow forecast for the next couple of days, with a further drop in temperature later this week. I've always found the main roads are pretty well managed in Penicuik and the surrounding areas, but the roads into some of those estates can be questionable, especially when the snow is still falling! I would very much appreciate it if clients could let me know of any access issues (particularly those of you who live up or down hills). It would also be extremely helpful if you could keep pathways clear of snow and ice as much as possible.
π₯Ά As always, your dog's safety is paramount and while some dogs would happily frolic in the snow all day, I have to take into consideration the senior and smaller dogs in the gang and walks may be shorter than usual to ensure everyone's safety (and to brush out ice balls from everyone's fur/paws). When checking the temperature please take into account the "feels like" temperature - most days this week aren't going to feel warmer than -5Β°.
That being said, I'm well equipped to deal with snow and it's never stopped us before! Here's to some frosty fun and nice clean dogs! βοΈπΎβοΈ
