*Animal Health and Welfare Review UPDATE*

You can now apply for the Animal Health and Welfare Review for more than one species. That means if you’ve already had your review for dairy, you can now apply for your beef and sheep (and vice versa!)

Additionally, if it’s been over a year since your first review, you can apply for your second. There’s up to 3 reviews and 3 follow-ups per species available for the duration of the scheme.

A met office red weather warning has been issued for central Scotland with severe disruption expected in the area. We are expecting this to affect the services we can offer tomorrow and this will cause some delays in testing. We will provide further updates during the day .

One of our senior vets, Rebecca Mearns, is leaving after 10 years at Biobest to explore pastures new.

Rebecca, who is an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Sheep Health and Production, has been a much valued member of the veterinary team, and has been particularly instrumental in increasing our range of sheep testing.

We wish her every success in her new role as ‘Veterinary Parasitology Lead’ for APHA!
