Tomorrow, 1st February is World Galgo Day.

It is also the end of the Spanish hunting season when untold numbers of these beautiful galgos are abandoned, maimed, hanged from trees, thrown down wells or just "disposed of" in any unimaginable way possible. Their only "crime"......???? No longer useful to the hunter.

Please spare a thought for these precious souls who suffer diabolical cruelty when no longer needed or useful 😭🤬
They are such an abused breed of dog 🤬🤬

This cruelty must be stopped.

There are still so many in Spanish shelters waiting for their chance to have a Forever Sofa with a loving family. Galgos make the most wonderful pets. They are loving, gentle, quiet and sleep a lot!!
45mph couch potatoes is a very apt description!!
