HOME NEEDED🐾 -LOTS OF INTEREST

Can you help? Little Geoff needs to find his forever home. He came in as a stray to be neutered and returned to the area where he was living. However, he was very tiny and suffering from cat flu and we were worried he wouldn’t survive.
Geoff has been being fostered by some of our staff but none of us can keep him long-term and he needs to find a forever home.
Because he has suffered from cat flu, he may at times need repeat treatment with antibiotics and anti-inflammatories as he ages.
As a long haired cat, he will require daily brushing (which he LOVES!).
He is a lovely boy and we are all very fond of him. If you would like to find out more or think you can offer him the home he needs, please contact the surgery.🐈

We have an opportunity available for a dog groomer/stylist to join our team. This role is part-time, 2 or 3 days per week, but we can be flexible for the right applicant.

The role includes:
▪️ bathing, drying and styling a range of breeds from Pomeranians to St. Bernards
▪️ predominantly pet grooms but breed trim experience would be beneficial
▪️ greeting clients and answering the phone
▪️ part of a team but working individually
▪️ grooming qualification preferable

Salary dependent on experience.

As bonfire night is getting nearer it is good time to think about how to help your pets cope with fireworks. A lot of pets are fearful of loud noises and fireworks, here are a few suggestions that might help:
🎆Close windows and doors, put on the radio or TV to muffle the sound of fireworks
🎇Keep pets inside
🎆Give them a safe place they can retreat to and feel safe like under the stairs or a crate in the centre of your home where the sounds are quietest
🎇Ignore any barking or howling, don't get angry with them - instead reward them and fuss them when the fireworks are over
🎆Stay calm, your pet could sense your feeling anxious and might make them more worried
🎇Don't leave your pet alone.
If you're concerned about your pet's stress or reactions to firework sounds get in touch with a vet and see if there's something they can do to help.
