A feel Good Friday story -

Martha 🐾🐾
She was termed a “ failed worker” was she?? Or was she just in the wrong profession??
I think the latter !
On leaving farm life Martha was rehomed with Ruth & Justin and took to village life relatively easy. She attended school at Clever Dogs Dog Training and found her “Thing” working next to her mum in obedience.
Last summer at Wigton DTC show they won their passport to Crufts by coming 1st in the Kennel Club Special Pre beginner stakes.
She loves green fields , just doesn’t need sheep in them. This could be the reason she loved the Crufts green carpet.
The attached photos show what a fantastic time we all had at the NEC Birmingham attending Crufts 2025
Huge congratulations Ruth & Martha you did yourselves and our club proud & flew the flag for rescue & rehomed dogs.

Thursday saw the ladies lunch crew out on the trail again 😊

We made our way from Threlkeld to Latrigg Summit ⛰️
Refreshments were found at Threlkeld cafe ☕️😘
A great morning was had by all xx

So proud of our Clever- Dogs members today who supported & attended Wigton DTC show @ Greenlands equestrian centre.
Janice judging Apt2
Debbie did a fab job stewarding Apt2
Ruth took Martha for some Crufts prep.
Natalie & Bonnie competed in Pre beginner & Beginners achieving a fantastic 4th & 3rd.
Claire & Darcie competed in Novice & won their class .
I was general assistant to anyone who needed an extra pair of hands 😊
A truly great day out.

So proud of this Team.
Steve & Hearing / Assistance dog Ernie.

We visited our local Tescos to work on Ernie’s calm steadiness in a crowded busy environment. Ernie took everything in his stride, sounds, sights & smells - he remained focused by Steve’s side. 10/10 young man.
Big thanks to the staff who were very supportive & all the customers who were happy for us to work amongst you 😊

Ladies Lunch club having fun in the 🌞this morning 🌞
The village green provided an excellent arena to do some basic obedience, this was followed by a splash in the beck 💦finished with the extremely important socialising @ the old village bakery ☕️💗

Clever Dogs Dog Training

I tell my dogs frequently that -
“ every day is a school day “

Today Tawny & I were in college 😊
I was delighted to be asked to return to give another presentation on dog training for the students from Myerscough college.
I have a passion for working with the next generation. Dogs and & kids can share truly magical bonds.
Tawny loved demonstrating for her very attentive audience.
She really does know when we are inspiring & motivating our students 💗
