Aside from water, fibre is the most important component of every horse’s diet. For the majority, fibre needs are met through grazing and supplementary hay or haylage. There is a growing need for alternative sources of fibre, most notably for veteran horses and ponies who may have difficulty chewing due to poor teeth but also when forage may be difficult to source.
Fast Fibre can be used as a partial hay replacer, it is a soaked, high fibre feed that is similar to hay in terms of its nutritional properties. Containing only 7.5% combined starch and sugar, it is suitable for horses and ponies prone to laminitis, it is highly palatable and is an excellent way of boosting your horse or pony’s water intake.
