Pershore And Evesham Puppy School We provide puppy classes for puppies up to 20 weeks old and follow on classes for the older dog too. All our classes use kind, positive reward based techniques.

Welcome to the Pershore and Evesham Puppy School page!. At Pershore and Evesham Puppy School we offer a range of classes, Puppy School for vaccinated puppies up to 20 weeks old, Puppy University which is our follow on class for young dogs and the older puppy who have either attended our Puppy School class or who have done some kind of formal training before. In addition we offer Young Dog

classes for dogs who missed out on formal training, Advanced dog classes as a follow on to Puppy University. Pershore and Evesham Puppy school is part of the Puppy school network of puppy schools set up by the behaviourist Gwen Bailey. As a puppy school trainer we have all undergone the same extensive training and as a result are recognised by the Animal Behaviour Training Council (ABTC), and I am registered with them as an Animal Training Instructor.

Another busy weekend for us at Pershore and Evesham Puppy School. We have moved our Puppy Play move and discover sessions indoors for winter and Saturday saw our first sessions of 2025!!

All the pups had fun exploring the hall using all there senses as part of there important socialisation, smells, taste, touch, sight, sounds, proprioception and introception.

Our next sessions will be on Saturday February 22nd.

Due to Demand we have decided to put on another Puppy School class at Childswickham starting Tuesday 21st January - 25th February, 7:40-8:40pm.

Our February Puppy School classes will be released for booking soon, I am taking names on a waiting list for these classes.

We still have a space available for our Bronze class At Wyre Piddle village hall starting on Monday 20th January. Please note these are for puppies/dogs who have already attended either our Puppy School, young dog class or something similar (i.e. APDT, or Kennel club puppy class).

And lastly.... on sunday we had our annual xmas social, lovely to catch up with past puppies and dogs, and then lots of tea, coffee and mince pies to finish. And as always seems to be the case with me, having too much fun I forget to take photo's so thank you to my lovely clients who insisted they take a photo of me by my van!!

So that's pretty much it for 2024, I'm really looking forward to hopefully running some new fun classes in 2025, and can't wait to start the Puppy Play move and discover again indoors where it's nice and warm for the puppies, until it's dry enough to run outdoors again.

I wish everyone much happiness, good health and a fantastic xmas, and hears to great 2025!!

Also in January we have our next Bronze Skills for life class, this builds on from our Puppy School and Young Dog classes and helps with all those lovely adolescent behaviours, as well as building on their loose lead walking and recall, New for 2025 - in addition to the 6 weeks class we will now have 2 sessions in a secure field.

Then our Young Dog class will be in early March, which is ideal for those older pups who missed out on puppy classes.

We also had our Skills for life Silver course graduation, it was such a shame that Walnut and Lottie couldn't make it for graduation night, they have worked so hard as well.

Our Silver class, builds on what the dogs learnt from the Bronze class, and builds more steadiness, mindfulness, and ability to cope around distractions. Learning lots of useful behaviours they can use forever.

Shep was an absolute star, he struggled with over arousal, and through allowing Shep to dictate the pace of learning (Canine initiated learning) he was able to self regulate much better and became much calmer. Shep's guardian has done an amazing job.

Also over the 6 weeks the dogs have been learning how to chain together separate behaviours to perform a trick. As we started in October we worked on getting a toy and dropping it into the Trick or Treat bucket. Shep smashed it and did an amazing job, I'm super proud of team Shep.

On Tuesday our Childswickham venue Puppy School puppies graduated as well!!

Congratulations to Max, Winston and Lola - most improved. It's been lovely seeing you all grow in confidence and skills over the last 6 weeks, Well done, and I hope to see you again in 2025!!

We have had lots of graduations over the last two weeks and I've gotten rather behind with photos.

Our Young dog class graduated on Monday 25th November - congratulations to Nala and Nick who did an amazing job, I however appear to have lost the photo's from that evening 😭 so I have nothing to show - so very sorry folks.

Then a big shout out and congratulations to our Puppies at our Wyre Piddle venue who graduated on Monday 9th December.

Well done to Fudge, Stan, Mabel and Bonnie (who was also voted the most improved), and Stan won the best trick. Lots of fun was had, including the kids dressing up to help with the puppies desensitisation of new and novel clothing/hats/masks and coloured hair!!

Well done everyone, have a great xmas and I look forward to hopefully seeing you all in 2025. xx

Today was our first indoor Puppy Play and Discover socialisation session at our Wyre Piddle venue.

Two groups of lovely puppies explored, sniffed, licked, climbed and had fun. Building confidence and resilience around new and novel things all done in a positive way.

Our next indoor session will be in January.

Its definitely been a busy weekend, 2 one to ones for bouncy adolescent pups, my silver class got to practice their skills in a secure field in particular there emergency stop and recall techniques.

Then this evening a great skills development session with 18 fellow puppy school trainers and assistants along with lots of lovely puppies.. back home to finish writing up training plans and get ready for new classes starting next week…

A rather belated congratulations to our Childswickham venue Puppy School Graduates on Tuesday 6th November.

Well done to , Eric, Elvis, Winnie, Pixie and Judd (Sorry we missed you). Elvis was voted the most improved by his class mates, and Winnie and mum won best trick, with Eric also doing a great spin and twist too.

I can't wait to see you all again, you should be super proud of all your efforts as it really shows.

A rather belated congratulations to a our recent Puppy School graduates, and Skills for life Bronze attendees. Congratulations to Teddy, Saffy and Freddie who all graduated Puppy School at Wyre Piddle village hall last week Monday 26th August. Saffy was voted the most improved by his class mates!! And freddie one best trick! Also congratulations to Shep and mum for graduating our follow on class - Skills For life Bronze at Childswickham on the 20th August. (So sorry for the delay, I've had pc and icloud issues!! gotta luv technology!!)
