Spiriteddawn Gundog training, run by Jon and Kathy Nightingale , between us we have well over 30 years proven history. Numerous working dogs of both retriever and spaniels, FTW’s and FTCH’s.
We offer 1-2-1 lessons from the most basic obedience all the way through to giving experience in the field. We also offer residential training, and pet dog training. Located just outside Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire.

Then sign up for our six week course of pet dog sniffer training, one evening per week, following UK Sniffer dogs Bronze training course. Any dog can do it regardless of breed. A nice few days last week, doing something different. Any dog regardless of breed can do it, we will soon be running classes for pet dogs, by occupying their brains, you can help to resolve so many behavioural issues, watch this space for further details.

Less than a month ago, this dog was running off, and the owner couldn’t let it off a lead, with nothing other than praise and attention at the right times, he’s now starting to learn how to hunt, and work with me rather than on his own.

How’s this for some feedback, thank you very much.

Not often I do a write up,but tonight I feel ready to speak I met a couple of years ago.I had thrown myself into the trialing world with no knowledge of it at all.This picture is of me on my 3rd attempt.He probably wouldn't remember me but I remember this quietly spoken unassuming man keeping himself to himself.My dog was as scared as me and made a few noises,he gave me some advice and that's where my story starts.Of course I was never going to do any good and I new that as had had no training apart from beating.But because of my illness and getting older I just wanted to have a go.
Then last year I had seen Spiritdawn gundogs advertising some group training,so jumped at the chance to go.I speak from the heart and say iv never met anyone like Jonathan in the training world before.We were invited into his home and made so welcome,I felt very at ease.Each training month we all met up and chatted our worries and needs of our dogs.He listened to us all.I have never met anyone so intent of giving us individual attention and get us all to where we wanted to be in our training.Of course I went on to Trial my young dog but I did not believe in myself or my dog,but with guidance and assurance from Jonathan he made me believe I could do it.He has become my confident who I go to when I hit a brick wall and feel like giving up.I can only thank him for getting me to believe in myself and my dog.I have met so many people in the dog world and each trainer iv taken from and enjoyed the training.But its taken someone named Jonathan Knightingale to make me believe in myself.His assessment of me and what I needed was incredible.Anyone out there that needs guidance in training would be in good hands.Thank you so much you are incredible.
