Look what’s happened in the Woodland Walk this afternoon! The perfect place for your doggy Christmas photos! (Please all look after it) 🐾🐾
What a great fun hour that was! Thank you all!!
Great fun at the Whippet meet up today. Lots of money raised and 41 dogs in attendance. Well done Justine Bromage!
In this heat, there’s no where better to exercise your dogs than the shade of the Woodland. Even better, we’be opened the gate so that you can drive right up to the edge of the trees.
“I went to the Woodland Walk earlier. Thank you to Lisa as she is letting you drive up to the gate in the Woodland Area this week as it is so hot to save that 5 minute walk up to the gate. The breeze and coolness in the woods was so refreshing. Colin loved it 🐾🐾”
***HOLD FIRE GUYS….. this isn’t the place to vote…***
Time to choose a winner…. But I think it may be too much of a job for just me…..
The perfect way to cool off at the dog field today
‼️WOODLAND‼️ We’ve had a last minute cancellation for our 6.30pm slot and 7.30pm slot. If you would like to book it, please message me
As you know, dog fields are only one part of the farm, I know many of you ask me about the cattle, sheep & horses. So thought I’d show you what we’re up to today. It’s time to shear the sheep, this is done by a travelling group of shearers who are from Suffolk, the Highlands and Australia. Shearing is painless, wool is shaved off much like we cut human hair and stops sheep from overheating in summer and more importantly helps avoid ‘Fly Strike’ which happens when flies lay eggs in the the wool (especially any mucky wool) and the eggs turn to maggots that then eat the flesh. This is painful, and can be fatal if left untreated. The wool sells for about 80p per kilogram and the average fleece weighs 1 to 3 kg. They actually cost us more to shear than we make from the wool but it is done for welfare reasons not profit.
