Victoria's Dog Walks

On my journey working with dogs I'm discovering the diversity in breeds, understanding their unique behaviors (hunters, herders, guarding) and their needs. During my Dog Training courses I have learned how to train and use positive reinforcement to achieve my special bonds with my pack. Also, I'm getting insights into dog psychology and learning how to communicate effectively.
Importantly my friends are teaching me life lessons, loyalty, resilience and appreciating the simple things in life.

Just don't do it please, it's just not worth the pain your dog goes through... 🙏🥺😭

"Hey, human moms and dads—here’s what happens to my paws when you take me out in the blazing sun ☀️ and the pavement is scorching! I sweat through my paws, and when it's this hot, I can't cool off because my paws are burning. Skipping a walk won’t hurt me—let me chill inside and take me out once the sun goes down." 🐾

If you spot someone walking their dog on hot pavement, kindly suggest they try it barefoot for the rest of the way. They might just understand how much it hurts.

COOLING COLLARS
... are an effective way to help our best friends to regulate their body temperature on a hot day, by absorbing heat from their body's. My friend below loves his.

Here's how they work:
Some materials retain water and release it through evaporation. Other collars use materials that absorb heat from your dog's body and distribute it. These all fit around your dog's neck, near the major blood vessels. Make sure they are not too tight.
Look for collars made from absorbent materials like PVA or the ones designed for evaporative cooling.

Remember the cooling collar is just one part of keeping your dog cool. Cool mats are great too and the good old fashion paddling pool, is fun for both of you 😎
