I had a nice surprise Monday morning, when my friend called and joined me on my walks. She became a Dog Walker for the day and experienced my office ... The Fens and nature. Every dog greeted her with the same enthusiasm and love they give me, knowing she was a friend by her greeting. Even though it was raining on most of the calls she didn't care, neither did we.
She also managed to get some rare pictures of me working with my friends ☺️

🎆 FIREWORKS 🎇

Here's what I used to do with my pups…
Plan ahead and get ready early!

Fireworks are never just on one night, we all know this when you live in a built up area.
First and most important, create a safe place/den for your animals. Mine was in the bathroom upstairs with the fan going for my male dog. The female dog was fine, it didn't really bother her. You could use your crate, big cardboard box and cover with a duvet or equivalent.

Keep all your doors, gates shut and curtains or blinds closed.

Walk your dogs early before dark to get them used to the change and settled in sooner.

Switch on your TV 📺, Radio 📻 or music 🎶 to calming or relaxing if that suits your animal. Or you could get your decks out and turn up to drown out the whizz bangs when they start🎚️ (you might want to let your neighbours know why it's so loud)

Research calming aids for your pets. Your Vet could help here if you are unsure what's on the market.

As a last resort I had been known to take my dogs out of the town and go for a ride in the car. For my dog this helped because he was soooooooo bad with the shakes and it frightened me. I found this out of desperation, but it worked for us.

It comes from my heart when I say, “Look after your friend, they really need you to be organised right now.”
