An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced fish keeper to join our sales and maintenance team here at The Water Zoo, Peterborough.
The position available can be for either 3 days or 5 days per week including at least one weekend day totalling 24-37 hours.

Fish keeping experience is essential!

Interested candidates can message us directly on facebook or email [email protected] detailing why you will be suitable for the position or for further information.

The ideal candidate will have retail experience and experience keeping aquarium fish with an enthusiasm for all aspects of fish keeping as a hobby, you will be initiative-taking, positive and dependable. Effective communication skills are essential especially when dealing with customers both face to face and over the phone. A willingness to learn from experienced staff members and the training that will be provided. Duties will include but are not limited to,
• Feeding the diverse range of livestock and maintaining the aquariums to the exacting standards we require.
• Serving and assisting customers with their requests, catching, and bagging up livestock.
• Using the till system, taking payment and handling cash.
• Keeping a good knowledge of the products we stock and the care information we provide.
• Merchandising, replenishing stock and general good house keeping
• Any other duties that may from time-to-time need completing, as required by senior staff
