This is something that I often find myself trying to explain to clients... like people, not all dogs like all other dogs, or all people either! The dogs that you see calmly relaxing on a busy steet while their owner's have lunch outside a cafe are not a realistic representation of dogs in general, what you don't see is the work that went in to get those dogs there, or the many other dogs that much prefer to stay home than sit at the cafe.
I don't know about you, but I don't like every person I meet and dogs don't like every dog they meet. Let's not set up dogs to fail by expecting more from them than we expect of ourselves. - Lori
