f these sound familiar and you would like help and guidance with any problems then don't hesitate to get in touch. You know your dog best. Tell me your problem and I will offer initial advice prior to any training session booked. I provide group obedience classes which are held at Peterlee Leisure Centre on a Sunday. Places are limited and you must contact me via email or message if you wish to register your interest. There is currently a minimum of a 4 month waiting list. Here are the details of my classes:

I have 5 classes every Sunday at Peterlee Leisure Centre. Times can change depending on circumstances beyond my control.

11:45 Bronze Three - Puppies/beginner class
12:35 Bronze Two - Puppies/beginner class
13:25 Bronze One - Puppies/beginner class
14:15 Silver
15:00 Gold
15:45 Platinum

Classes are £8 and last 45 minutes. On your first class it’s £20 and you receive an induction and 45 minutes of guidance and training with no more than 4 others. The following week you join the normal class. If you would like to join, just let me know. Please note that there is a minimum of a 16 week waiting list for the classes. I cover all basic obedience, progressive towards advanced training. Just depends on what your own requirements are and I adjust to meet your needs. Sit, down, stay, recall, lead work, off lead work and socialisation are the basics we start with. I also provide one to one training sessions which are subject to availability. Prices start from £100 if within East Durham or 5 mile of SR8 1AF. There will be no charge if I am unable to help solve the problems your having with your dog. Paul Cooper

Hi Everyone

I’ve decided to do our first ‘sociable’ dog walk of 2024 this Thursday. (13th June)

The walk will start at 6pm from the entrance to Hawthorne Dene. Please park respectfully.

The walk will be no more than 90 minutes and around 3 mile. Please only attend if you and your dog can comfortably cover this distance.

Due to attending a friend’s wedding tomorrow afternoon, I have had to change the timings for all classes tomorrow.

Times for tomorrow are as follows:

Puppy Class - 10am (combination of both puppy classes, same as last week)

Bronze - 11am
(Normally 12:55)

Silver 12noon
(Normally 2:15pm)

Gold 1pm
(Normally 3:05pm)

Platinum 2pm
(Normally 3:55pm)

Apologies for any inconvenience, all will be back to normal from next week.

Our Story

EDDT is a friendly & personal service tailored to meet the needs of you & your dog. I am a Home Office Qualified Dog Instructor who has experience in training a variety of breeds, all with different characteristics and needs. I have a policing background with a wealth of experience in dog training. Training methods are positive and rewarding for both dog and handler, using Repetition, Association & Reward methods which is the foundation of all good dog training. Is your dog:- Boisterous or head strong? Dog or food aggressive? Won't come back when off the leash? Lacking in confidence or timid? Constantly pulling when you go for a walk? If any of these sound familiar and you would like help and guidance with any problems then don't hesitate to get in touch. I provide group obedience classes which are held at Peterlee Leisure Centre on a Sunday afternoon. Places are limited and you must contact me via email or message if you wish to register your interest. There is usually a 4-8 week waiting list so get in touch early to avoid disappointment or unnecessary delay. Your first class is an induction which is £20 with no more than 4 others. It is then £8 per class thereafter. No need to pay anything up front and you’ll only need to pay for a missed class if either you haven’t notified us or cancel within 12 hours.

Bronze 2 - Puppies 12 - 12:50 pm. Bronze 1 - Puppies 1 - 1:50 pm. Silver - Mixed age & ability 2 -2:50 pm. Gold - Good standard & progressed through previous classes - 3 - 3:50 pm. Platinum - Above Good standard and progressed through Gold. 4 - 4:50 pm.

I also provide one to one training sessions which are subject to availability. Prices start from £50 an hour.
