A few weeks ago, we got to meet Jenny! ❤️

Her new owners got in contact nice and early after adopting her. As with all new additions, there were a few teething issues.

We got to work and put a training plan in place. Jenny's new owners have lots of homework to do. I'm sure they are going to be great with her training 🐾

A few weeks ago, we met the lovely Luna ❤️

Lunas owners got in touch as she was reacting to other dogs. We got the stooge dog out and had a look at what was fueling her reactions. Luna is a typical GSD and in turn, can be sensitive to movement, plus she isn't a massive fan of other dogs. She's got her family and that's enough for her. She also loves to scan the environment which means she isn't really paying attention to the other end of the lead. Our job is to patch that line of communication back up.

We got to work on some foundation training as you can't build anything without solid foundations. Lunas family did an amazing job at handling her during our session and have lots to work on at home. I can't wait to hear how they get on!

Here we go! Our final lot of puppy classes for the year, starting Sunday, September 15th! The course runs for five weeks and will be held at All Things Dog Secure Fun Fields.

This week we met Marley ✨️ 💙

This handsome chap hasn't been with his owners long, they wanted a few tips on how to manage him jumping up at guests and help with him pulling on the lead whilst out on walks.

We went over some implied training as well as management techniques for when they have guests round. Next, we moved on to some lead work outside. Both Marley and his owner did great in the session!

I'm looking forward to hearing from them soon with an update.

Oh Luca 🥰 what a handsome lad you are!

Lucas owners got in touch to go over a few issues they were having when out and about. As with most staffies, Luca just loves people, and it was creating a few issues when out on walks.

They also have a little one on the way, so they wanted to make sure they are doing everything they can to prep Luca for the new arrival 👶🏼

We got to work on some foundation training and went over some engagement training. Luca and his owners did great in the session, and their handling was spot on 👌

Her owner was keen to get a head start on her foundation training. We covered loads in the session, and they have lots to work on at home.

A few weeks ago, we met Storm and his owners at a local garden center for a follow-up session.

Our first encounter with Storm was during a training session with Hollie at All Things Dog. It's amazing to see how far they've come in their training.

During the follow-up session, we focused on training and improving Storm's engagement in the busy environment of the garden center. Despite a few mild reactions, Storm did an incredible job at paying attention to his owners.

We'll be visiting them again at home in a few weeks to address some other issues that have arisen.

A couple of weekends ago, we met Nellie and her owners at All Things Dog Secure Fun Fields. They wanted to discuss some foundation training and management techniques for their home, especially since they have young kids and were concerned about Nellie jumping up.
We reviewed some implied training techniques to communicate our expectations to Nellie, such as not jumping up when approaching people. We also made some tweaks to her recall training.
All three of them made excellent progress during the session and now have plenty to practice at home.

A few weeks ago, we met Khaleesi and her owners at All Things Dog Secure Fun Fields.

Khaleesi can be reactive towards other dogs, so we brought out our stooge dog to see what was going on. During the session, Khaleesi showed signs of anxiety and uncertainty around other dogs. In her previous home, she didn't have a huge amount of socialisation, which means she often relies on instinct when she's unsure how to act.

Khaleesi hasn't been with her current owners for long, so focusing on building solid foundations is crucial. Her owners did an amazing job during the session and have plenty to work on before returning for a more intensive session. Their commitment to training is great to see!
