Beautiful Joe's Ethical Dog Treats

Beautiful Joe's Ethical Dog Treats Every time someone buys a packet of our delicious dog treats, we give the same quantity of treats to a canine rescue home nominated by our customers.
(29)

We know from personal experience that most rescue homes can’t afford to buy treats for the dogs they look after. So, every time you buy a packet of Beautiful Joe’s we give the same quantity of liver treats away to a canine rescue home. We ask our customers to nominate rescue homes (you can do this when you order). Every three months we put all the previous quarter’s nominations into a bucket (we’r

e a rather low-budget operation and don’t run to a spare hat) and draw the names of the homes to receive the free treats. If you support or run a rescue home (or other good cause) why not sell our treats as a fundraiser? We’ll give you a generous discount and if you purchase a minimum quantity you can nominate the rescue home to receive the free treats. For full details of our treat donation policy please visit our website. Incidentally, if your dog doesn’t tell you immediately and in perfect English (even if he or she has only ever spoken another language, say Mandarin), that our treats are the very best he or she has tasted, we’ll refund your money in full and send you a photograph of us actually eating our hats. Also, we are really committed to farm animal welfare. We only use pasture-fed, free range meat and we give 1% of sales to Compassion in World Farming.

Dog-loving Sales Rep
Beautiful Joe’s Ethical Dog Treats
Pewsey, Wiltshire

We are looking for someone to promote our ethical dog treats to independent, upmarket retailers. Ethical dog treats? Every time we sell a packet of treats, we give a packet of treats to a rescue centre. So far, we have donated over £650,000 of treats to dogs in need.

This is a permanent full or part-time office-based position, although in the future we will be open to some home-based working. For an exceptional candidate we will consider making it an entirely home-based role.

The key qualifications are:

- A proven track record in sales.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Dog lover.
- Ability to identify and qualify suitable leads.
- High level of literacy.

Initially, the role will involve identifying and qualifying suitable prospects (posh pet shops, charity shops, dog friendly businesses etc.) and converting them via telephone/written communication. You will also be responsible for encouraging repeat sales and in keeping our existing retail customers happy.

In the future we plan to experiment with in-person visits to prospects and we hope to get into one or more major retail chains. If you are interested in participating in both these projects, so much the better.

We are offering generous levels of remuneration with a performance related bonus.

You will find us a very friendly and supportive company to work for. One of the key things we look for in any new team member is kindness.

To apply please write a letter or send an email to Jen Brady our General Manager ([email protected]) setting out your experience and explaining how you would tackle this role.

🐕 WOOFER OF THE WEEK - IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM LUCKY 🐕

Hi, You might remember me - I'm Lucky, and I was Woofer of the Week a few weeks ago. I'm still looking for a new home, so I have decided to take matters into my own hands. 💔

I'm a big softie. I like hanging out and snuggling with my humans, I loved being in a foster home, but sadly I'm back at Kennels now, and it's not so much fun. I get really sad when my people aren't around, so I'd like to find a new human (or two) who wouldn't leave me alone much (I get sad).

Before I was rescued I was kept in a cage all day, and I was only let out to go to the loo. While I was in my foster home I was getting used to being a pet and part of the family, but I can still get a little excited when I see new people or dogs. I just want to run up and say hello! I am a little on the large size, so I am trying to learn how to contain my excitement.

Because of my breed (which I didn't choose, by the way), no one has been applying for me. Yes, I'm a big strong dog, but I'm clever too, and just need a little help with my training - I'm still just a puppy really!

I need a home with someone there most of the time. I need my own garden, and an experienced owner who knows how to get the best out of my training. I could like with older children of 12+. No other pets in the home (sorry I get too excited).

If you think you could offer me a forever home, please fill out a rehoming questionnaire on the website, and I'll have my people call your people.

We are delighted to support this wonderful charity. They sent us this message from Irish Retriever Rescue (IRR)

We rescue Golden Retrievers who through no fault of their own find themselves without a home. We never turn away a dog on the grounds of age, condition or circumstance if we have enough resources to take them.

As a charity we also cover any medical conditions identified at the point of rescue for life. As a non funded charity all our expenses are covered by fundraising.

Our dogs mainly come form Eire, although we will of course take them from the UK too, they are transported to foster homes spread throughout the country and accessed in a home environment allowing us to place the dog with the best possible home which matches the dogs needs.

One such dog has come into our rescue this week. Another rescue who were unable to help this poor dog contacted us and we agreed to take him. He has the most awful eye condition/injury and we have secured a specialist eye appointment for him this week, they moved appointments so he was seen. It is possible he will be operated on the same day if necessary.

We will need to launch an appeal to help fund his treatment and ongoing costs so your help couldn't have come at a better time.

'Just a note to say thank you again for all the treats you've sent us recently, both for the dogs in the kennels and for the recent fundraising auction.
Here are a couple photos of dogs who enjoyed the recent delivery to the kennels, Milly (white) and Arina (brown). Apparently, there were quite a few hijinks while Arina tried to open the tin.'

The Cinnamon Trust sent us these photos from their recent Hillside fundraising event.
This wonderful charity offers support to elderly pet owners. For example, their volunteers will walk a dog for a housebound owner or will foster pets when owners need hospital care.
On behalf of all our lovely customers, we are delighted to support this lovely charity and the sterling work that they and their volunteers do.

Thanks so much for the donation of Beautiful Joes treats. The dogs absolutely love them.
Below you can see Rico (XL Bully) and one of our long stay dogs, Hugo (mastiff/staffie) enjoying the dried lamb lung. It’s lovely to give them some joy in their lives in rescue kennels.
