Just wanted to remind everyone that I am really sorry if your dates get snapped up if you don’t reserve them. I’ve had a few individuals who have left it sometime between me sending a quote over to then booking. I simply cannot run a business on unanswered quotes and emails. I also am genuinely sorry if they get snapped up, I cannot afford to turn business away. Thank you to those who do book in promptly 🙌🤍

It’s always a huge concern of ours! Hence why we don’t allow viewings for boarders, just trials or zoom calls only so you can still see where your beloved pooches are staying without putting our gang at risk. Ultimately security should be at the top of your mind too, as your pups will be staying here. All gates are locked so you can’t even get onto the premises, we’ve got a rather loud alarm system 😂, our kennels are bolted, amongst cctv and other measures we won’t discuss 😳🙋🏻‍♀️

And breathe… we had our licence inspection this morning! The licencing officers come to site and talk all things Everdhor licence- from things like checking what cleaning products we use, water bowls, fencing, where food and meds are stored, check chemicals are locked away, nit pick through all my policies from risk assessments, isolation procedures, fire exit plans, to what to do in the event of mud slides and flooding!

I am so unbelievably chuffed after my busiest summer yet and an incredibly tough time personally to say that I’ve aced my inspection, with the highest accolade of 5 stars and will be providing home boarding for a little while longer 🐾

Woohooooo 🥳

Well Keir Starmer… Not going to lie, very worried for the future of our small businesses here at Everdhor HQ! Husband works for himself, as do I. We support local and shop in other small businesses in the area, we also employ local staff. I charge £30 per dog per day/ night, that is my income! Some days I don’t even have dogs in. Take aside the electricity or oil to heat the house, licence fees, toys, enrichment, insurance, qualifications, cleaning equipment, beds etc, that £30 doesn’t go very far at all, and now our prime minister wants to make it just a little bit more difficult for us. The one thing I will ask, small businesses need you now more than ever. Go to your local pet shop over petsathome, contact your local plumber over British Gas or eat in your local Italian over Pizza Express. We need your support or we will all be closing our doors 😣

We are attending! Come on down on Sunday and see us at this insanely beautiful venue 🤍

Not dog related but reaching out and asking support from my amazing clients! Myself, Lucy’s sister and another of Lucy’s close friends are taking part in a run in December in Lucy’s memory. It was a run that she wanted the four of us to do together, to raise money for Mind.

Everdhor is sponsoring me and contributing towards an elf outfit!

We will be holding fundraisers, yes one will be dog related, when the weather improves next year but for now, if you could spare even £1 to donate for me running I would be forever grateful and might just prevent other family and friends from being in this position and losing a loved one 🤍

No fireworks here or actually anywhere remotely near our house 😂 the most excitement our pups get is a pheasant flying over or a sheep escaping into the garden! However, some top tips for those that do live near fireworks:

• Turn the TV on, and any other appliances in the house - Alexa etc
• Shut the curtains
• Change your walk times if you walk in the evening or miss that walk if needs be
• Makesure your doors and windows are shut properly and secure
• Get some plug in canine destress or therapy sprays
• Makesure they have somewhere familiar and safe to hide
• Be prepared for accidents
• Finally plenty of cuddles and reassurance, they have no idea what a firework is
• Optional - cook sausages, A - to make the house smell delicious for them, B - chop them up and hide them as a distraction technique
