We've had a stray female golden Cocker Spaniel handed in to our Pickering practice. Found between Pickering and Kirkbymoorside. Microchipped but no details associated with it.

Last night we had nurses Santa, Vicky and Ellie hosting a visit for Rillington Young Farmers, who all thoroughly enjoyed their practice tour and having a go at stitching bananas and bandaging our training models. Thank you for coming 😀

Even as an ‘older’ puppy we always recommend you bring you pet in for a monthly weigh and worm, like lovely Luna is here. We can keep a check on their growth rate and also ensure that we dose them correctly for their worm and flea treatment 🐶 🐾 ♥️ ⭐️

Focus on weight management 🔎⚖️
Kerry is our RVN who runs our senior clinics for your healthy golden oldies check ups. These run on the first Wednesday of every month.

These appointments are an ideal time to get a current weight and body condition score for your pet, and to discuss a way of keeping extra weight off those potentially sore joints. Keeping an optimum weight can help your senior pet immensely with their mobility and general health.

We use body condition scoring alongside actual weight to determine a pet’s ideal body weight, so why not book in with a nurse if you are concerned your pet may be overweight ⚖️ 🐾
