Due to the bank holiday we will be closed from 3pm 🙂
The Triples Aces Veterinary practice has just opened in the heart of Essex just outside of Basildon and Pitsea!
(4)
Our new Principal Veterinary Surgeon, Dr. Kirsty Bridger is highly experienced and is excited to serve the community and beyond.
Due to the bank holiday we will be closed from 3pm 🙂
Our internet is currently not working, therefore neither are our phone lines. Please bare with us whilst we correct this issue. Thank you for your patience.
Crumpet 💓💓 this is Crumpet the young frenchie who had a re**al prolapse. She had it replaced but it sadly re-prolapsed soon after due to the severity. This meant she had to have abdominal surgery to stitch her colon internally to stop it coming back out. She’s now doing amazing and fully recovered!
Tramps stick - Tramp the wire-haired dachshund came in for a routine castration, however on further examination, we noticed a stick jammed in the roof of his mouth. It was removed successfully but had caused some damage. We are monitoring the situation but lucky it was found as he was showing no signs!!! Hopefully his breath smells better now too ❤️🩹
Marley 🖤 is a black Labrador who rushed here after being attacked at the park one evening. His shoulder was torn deep into the muscle. A drain was placed with stitches to string it back together by our vet Franki. His wound is recovering well and pretty much back to his bouncy self again.
Lady 💞 a few weeks ago, Lady was attacked and her leg suffered multiple wounds causing the tissue to start dying. This leg was amputated by our vet Jo, and it turned out to be a success. The pictures were from her last post op check with us to have her stitches out. She’s adapting to the 3-legged life very well 👏🏼👏🏼
‼️POWER CUT‼️
Please read below.
Rain came to say hi for her restart vaccines recently - what a beautiful girl she is 🥰
WILLOWS STONES 🪨🐾 willow originally presented with increased urination over a long period of time. On further investigation she was found to have multiple large stones in her bladder. She had a surgery with our vet Jo who removed the stones. Willow has recovered very well and back to her normal self😁
MILLIE - a skin story🐾 originally Millie saw us with very sore skin with bald patches. Her owners had tried all diets and had no success. Now with a little help from us here at Triple Aces, her skin is looking beautiful and her owners have a much happier dog around the house. See you soon Millie 💓
It's National Eyewear Day! Make sure your furry friends can see clearly with regular check-ups at our veterinary practice. 👓🐾
This is Kreed the beautiful Boerboel and his story🐾
He had 3 little lumps removed where 2/3 came back as nasty tumours. This is why it is very important to get suspicious lumps investigated or removed. As you can see they have all healed beautifully and he was very happy to get his stitches removed this week 😁😁😁
Happy National Hamburger Day! 🍔 Don't forget to treat your furry friends with a special pet-friendly burger today!
Major had an altercation with a very large TICK which one of our team removed immediately. Now is the time to make sure your dogs are all up to date with their flea and tick prevention as well as worming.
We have a new care plan running which includes all flea and worming treatments as well as many other things. If you would like to know more, call, visit our website or email us for more information. Leaflets are also available at the reception desk ☺️☺️
PET HEALTHCARE PLANS 🩺

Most of us should be chilling out this weekend but if you find your pet in a spot of bother our opening times are 10am-3pm Monday 26th.
This is Pickle🐾, a Guinea pig who had a large lump on his abdomen. The lump was successfully removed by our vet Jo and Pickle has fully recovered since then 😁

Happy National Rescue Dog Day! 🐶🐾 Show your furry friends some extra love today.
The lovely Rouge popped by to say hi at Reception 🥰
This is Gizmo who decided to have a beauty sponge for lunch recently which is obviously not dog friendly! His owner saw him eat it, so they quickly brought him in to induce vomiting and get rid of the sponge which had grown bigger due to absorbing the stomach fluid💧
He went home safe and sound ☺️

✨✨✨✨REUNITED ✨✨✨✨ Misty has been missing since May 2022 and got handed in by a member of the public to our practise recently. Due to Misty’s microchip being correctly up to date, her owner was contacted and came to collect her. Lots of emotions were shared! This shows the importance of having your pets microchipped and up to date in terms of phone numbers and addresses etc. We’re happy to see you home safely after over a year apart Misty ❤️❤️❤️ #reunited #microchip #dog #dogsofinstagram #puppylove #hugs #happy #vets #vetsofinstagram #tripleaces #tripleacesvets #vetsofessex

Charlie says "it's time to get fit!" As we go through January lots of us are making resolutions to be more active. Dogs are fantastic companions to do this with and it's great for socialising them too! Remember to; 👟 make sure the level of exercise is appropriate for your dogs fitness 👟 keep them on a lead to keep them and others safe 👟 make sure you have plenty of water for you both 👟 Don't forget your poo bags!
Who has a cat and couldn’t live without them…All cat owners raise hand! Well here are a couple of pointers to keep your cat happy! First, it's important to give them plenty of attention and love. They also need a safe place to call their own, where they feel secure and can relax. Make sure they have plenty of toys and playtime, as well as a good scratching post or two. A clean litter box is also essential for keeping your cat happy. Lastly, regular vet check-ups and preventive care will help keep them healthy and happy for years to come. It’s that time of year when we are busy traveling to see family and friends and you may be bringing your dog along with you too! Travel is essential for dogs because it allows them to go to new and exciting areas, but it's critical to take the right precautions to ensure that they aren't exposed to any dangers while on the road. Dogs should feel safe and comfortable in the car, no matter where they are headed. Whether your bringing a puppy to a friend for the weekend or traveling with an older dog it may be worth considering these top tips! -Keep your dog secured in the car – it’s the law -Get your dog used to the car before you travel -Practice getting your dog in and out of the car safely -Get used to driving with your dog in the car it’s an added distraction you may not be used to You know your dog better than most so if they are showing unusual behavioural signs try not to force them into travel as it may cause them unnecessary stress or anxiety! Remember, remember, the fifth of November, Gunpowder, treason and plot! If you can't give us one, we'll take two; The better for us and the worse for you! Whilst we hope there will be no treason or plot, we hope that you have an evening full of fireworks, loved ones and celebration. If you are heading out this weekend to watch a fireworks display be sure to consider your four-legged family members at home! 4 Simple tips to keep them calm and happy this weekend! 1. First, keep your animals indoors. If possible, bring them into a room where they feel safest and close the curtains or blinds. 2. Second, create a safe haven for them with plenty of bedding and toys to keep them occupied. 3. Third, try to drown out the sound of the fireworks as much as possible by playing music or white noise. 4. Finally, remain calm and avoid any sudden movements that could startle your animal companions. We look forward to welcoming you, we are here to help you. With Bonfire night almost upon us you may be thinking your dog is absolutely fine with fireworks or maybe you have a new puppy and you haven’t experienced fireworks since you have them. Well fear not, there are lots of different ways your dog may respond to fireworks. There may be some signs that are more obvious than others, some of these may include! -Hiding -Trying to escape -Whining or barking -A change in their toileting habits -Seeking reassurance from you or being clingy -Being put off their food -Pacing around -Drooling -Shaking -Licking their lips. If your dog starts to show any of these signs consider trying to eliminate the sounds. A great way to do that this weekend could be by using your Alexa to play soothing sounds to your dog. Check out this article for more ideas on how to use your Alexa to play music to calm your dog! https://www.techradar.com/news/amazon-alexa-can-play-music-to-calm-your-pets-when-the-fireworks-start#:~:text=Create%20a%20relaxing%20environment,more%2C%20through%20the%20Alexa%20app. We look forward to welcoming you, we are here to help you.
