******** SCAM AWARENESS **********

A client has contacted Rosehill Vets as she received a phone call regarding her lost cat. The caller said, that Rosehill Vets had her cat and that she would need to pay a release fee. The caller then asked for her bank card details.

Fortunately the client phoned Rosehill Vets to check and we could confirm that it is a scam.

This is a very unpleasant phone call for anyone to receive. Sadly, we did not have her lost cat and we sincerely hope that her missing and much loved pet is soon found, fit and well.

Rosehill Vets will never ask for a release fee. We do our very best to help reunite pets with their owners.

Please be alert to any such phone calls and always contact the practice to check if the call is legitimate, before agreeing to any payment terms. Tel: 01752 562575

When walking your dog in the dark, make sure that both you and your dog are visible to others. For owners, this means avoiding dark clothing and wearing reflective safety gear such as a vest, strap, or wristband. There are several options for keeping your dog visible in the dark, such as a reflective jacket, collar, lead, harness, or even an LED light-up safety necklace. Dogs with darker fur are more difficult to see in the dark. However, even if you have a lighter coloured dog, you should still make sure your dog can be seen in the dark!
